Texas (with help on the SWC debacle) fricked up two conferences they owned. They have come to their senses, realized they suck at running conferences, and are coming over to the SEC, 10 gallon hat in hand.

That’s not how it works.
Texas works by getting Texas alums or puppets into positions of power and then working to benefit just Texas.
They didn’t buy off the NCAA infractions committee, they leveraged connections to get an alum installed as head of the committee, then went to work on rivals.
They didn’t just throw their weight around the B12, they installed their own sycophants as the commissioner and positions of power, and then played stupid when the conference organization bent the field to their benefit.
Man, the PTSD some of yall have over Texas is insane, they really did a number on yall didnt they.

Well they are far more influential with ESPN than anyone else in CFB. They can have fun with who gets what TV slots and how they are treated. ESPN will call Austin before the SEC office.
They also own the Commissioner, that's pretty clear with how this all went down. He sure as hell cant' oppose them now.
They have a pocket vote with OU and A&M will soon cut a deal with them. Then they will start pitting the rest of you against each other. They will manipulate every rule in place to their favor and then cheat anyway.
They will come up with some innocent-sounding new regs and policies that seem like a win for everyone but they will take advantage of. They are always thinking 3 steps ahead and rarely do anything overt until they have everything in place. They love to have a proposal for X while they already have a deal for Y ready to go that they will hammer you with.
They like to use their academic and research leverage as well, and of course just plain old money. They will look at ways to buy off or punish different schools.
That's for starters. Then they will start to really play dirty.

Texas is having to choke down some humble pie even broaching the SEC for entrance. They're having to admit that their selfishness ruined their conference, drove teams away and that their Longhorn network is a piece of shite.
They'll come in and abide by the rules of the SEC or they'll tuck tail and run off.

OU fans are on their own boards discussing the events with each other.

I wouldn't be surprised if UT fans resort to riots if they don't get their way. They are basically Berkeley Jr after all

what boards would that be?

That is not the point of my post. People were getting so worked up, I was just pointing out how little power Texas will actually have in the SEC. Texas (and OU) are two huge sharks in the Big 12. In the SEC, there are bigger sharks and more of them.

No horns down bull crap. If the SEC caves in to the Texas fans' whims right off the bat, then it won't be long before Texas will be sucking the wind out of the SEC the same way they previously did to the old Southwest Conference and subsequently, the Big-12 Conference.

Their heads always get too big after a while. The difference is this time they’ve got a line out the door ready to put them back in their place.

Georgia Tech did, not that I'm saying they and tu are on equal footing
Georgia Tech did(1960's), and wandered in the wilderness for decades, and begged the SEC to let them back in the 1980's (for the record Alabama said yes)

The last two commissioners of the SEC were not SEC graduates, not sure before that. Easy to fix, just say no person in the offices can be graduates of SEC schools.

What does it matter? It's not our conference any more. The SEC is dead.

One of the talking heads at ESPN said that there will be no Longhorn Network without a Crimson Tide network.
I doubt there will be a Crimson Tide network
So Texas may have met its match.
If Sankey is in Texas's pocket, then the 14 schools leave the SEC and form a new conference.

SEC needs to treat Texas like any other program. They will have status akin to A&M and Mizzou.
If they leave, add a better program.

They will talk about leaving but it would be stupid if they did. All the other conferences will have filled up by then and they aren't getting another LHN.
