Auburn won. It's over. Please accept it and move on. Please.

An eligible receiver cannot be downfield blocking a defender on a pass over the LOS.
So what you are saying is a significant portion of alabamas passing plays should have had a flag thrown?
\Good to know. I am writing a petition as we speak

Nick Saban made this very point
Was this before or after he threw his entire team under the bus?

Both AU and Aggy run this play. Run with eligible receivers blocking downfield past the neutral zone
how is a DB supposed to react?
So does Bama

They did it in the iron bowl on a key play as well, well beyond the LOS

Why so BITTER Andvari? if you are an LSU fan(not all of them are) I see why.
Let me preach on it.
First LSU fans of course hate Nick Saban for leaving them and going to Alabama.
This I do not get. Saban leaves LSU to try the NFL.Lots of coaches do. It did not work out and he wanted back into college. We needed a coach. You did not have an opening.
He did not leave LSU to Alabama.
Now this part I DO get.
If there were no Saban at Alabama, this could have been a dynasty..at LSU.
With the teams you have fielded at LSU I don't see anyone else good enough to have stopped you from dominating the SEC and all of college football.
You had one in the bag after 9-6 and what happens?
You get your faces pushed in in NOLA and 9-6 meant nothing.
Over and over the only thing stopping you was Nick Saban and Alabama. It could have been Pax LSU.
But it wasn't to be and most of the fanbase is bitter as hell.

Antibarner takes football a tad bit too seriously.

He was 5 yards downfield blocking as an eligible receiver during a pass attempt.
I have repeatedly cited the rule it was offensive pass interference.
NCAA Rule 7-3-8B. Also cited in the Times article.
Mosely was nowhere near the ball or able to catch the ball, so no pass interference...To be pass interference you have to impede their ability to intercept or catch the ball.. There can be HOLDING, but that did not happen either.
Lets use an example that happens, two opposing players are on Bama sideline and the pass is thrown to the Auburn sideline. Have you EVER seen that called even once??? No because they were not impeding their ability to catch or intercept.
I know you are clinging for something, but the bottom line is this game will haunt you EVERY SECOND of your life....
HERE IS THE RULE

Touchdown Auburn. What a year! War Damn Eagle! Glad to see Mccarron playing in his last IB. What a difference a year makes!

I think lsu fans are just happy to see fate kick Bama's teeth in for once instead of kissing your arse. We know we have a Bama Saban complex. Oh well.
But your sense of entitlement to some type of vindication on this play is what makes all this hilarious and sad at the same time. It's part and parcel of Bama fans' overall entitlement mentality.
Hey I know refs miss calls but let me point out and obscure one and demand vindication.
Then you compare it to Petersons int like it's equal when one was just completely unseen and one was blatantly missed even after it was reviewed in the booth.
It is extremely amusing and I for one love that you keep posting about it.

I have not said a thing about Auburn not deserving the win. They did. No sour grapes from me. Great effort and all credit.
I did not even say anything bad about LSU. I really like Les Miles. He has put a hell of a product on the field it is his misfortune to be coaching in the Saban Era at Alabama.
I take this too seriously? I enjoy a good debate. I am still waiting to get one here as three quarters of the posts have gone from mild insults to downright profne because they don't like the truth.

I won't correct you on that one, WT. You've been calling everyone mad, regardless of situation, thread, or context. But this time you got it right. A blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then

I agree about the Peterson call. And I have said do several times. It was missed and I can understand the uproar.

Barrett Jones got away with an obvious hold on the Yeldon TD last year in Tiger Stadium.
No one cared then, either. :rimshot:
