i hate this type of stuff.
ETN to UGA
Bond to Texas
All the 5 stars teaming up to go to 1-3 teams.
WTF happened to loyalty and wanting to beat the best vs team up with the best. Weak shite.
LBJ effect i guess.

Ohio State tampering? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO?????
Posted on 11/28/24 at 8:06 am to deathvalleyfreak43
Tampering is alive and well in every conference.
Kirby leaning on Perry Thompson and Riddick from Auburn, South Carolina also trying to get in Coleman’s ear as well and offering Jared Smith crazy money.
Nebraska contacted Perry Thompson so Auburn contacts Raiola to send a message.
Everything running through the agents. Current players asking their school for more money because another school tampers and anti’s up.
Contracts coming next few years to stop it but until then…. NIL is brutal and evil.
Every single one of our teams are doing the same.

It's an excellent bet that every team that has a chance is recruiting Williams, as he is probably the best wide receiver in the nation, though he's severely under utilized because his quarterback sucks huge ones.
I am pretty sure that Alabama boosters will match or come close enough to matching any offer for this one guy, because he's tier 1 elite. The problem, though, is if Milroe plans to return. If that is the case RW would have to be rarther dim to return to Alabama, and I think he's a pretty bright kid.

Although I am sure OSU would like him to come but when you already have Jeremiah Smith, Carnel Tate, Brandon Inniss and a host of orther 4 and 5*;s I hardly think they are pushing it.

Yeah. OSU probably has the best corp of receivers in the nation, and bringing another elite receiver may cause a problem. I think Texas and Oregon would be the 2 most likely landing spots if RW did transfer. He's saying all the right things, and as noted, I believe the Alabama boosters would ante up enough to keep their best player, but Milroe is the wild card. I wouldn't play with that piece of shite quarterback another yr.
By the way, I've said for 2 years that Milroe was a shitty qb and have mentionedf that he is divisive too. It's in my post history. A lot of Alabama fans that supported the guy and would chastise anybody that criticized him are finally seeing what was clear all along. I feel like I'm being held hostage. Kind of crazy that it wasn't UGA, or Texas, or Ohio State, or any other team that took down Alabama, but one of its own players and it started pre season last yr.

Why would this be a surprise to anyone?

Starting with what Tuberville (now as politician) said to pass rules that if a player signs with a school they must honor their contract before transfering.
It's amusing you think Tuberville would EVER do anything useful.

Judkins was the clear backup at OSU. If he would have learned how to be a team player he could have stayed feature back at ole miss and waltzed easily into a high draft pick. Tanked his draft stock for a little more NIL money for a year.
These kids are getting awful advice and Williams leaving bama would be a stupid decision.

The problem at Alabama, and it's self inflicted, is that nobody, including RW, knows how good Simpson or Lonergan would or could be. We do already know about Milroe and it's all bad. So there is a chance RW could transfer to build some gaudy stats and ESPN highlights at a place with an elite qb, which is a business decision. In that case, I'd choose Texas because Manning is going to light it up. There is also a chance, though, that DeBoer might bring in a good transfer qb for a yr while Russell or Mack develop, assuming Russell does sign up.
I just want Milroe gone. Hell, I wanted him gone pre season 2023.

Think he’s coming home to Texas and play with his HS QB.

He already turned down Texas last yr, and his high school quarterback will never start any significant time . If he transferred to Texas it would be due to Manning more than anything else.
It pretty much hinges, imo, on if Milroe plans to come back, because he is making more money at Alabama than he'll ever make in the NFL. There is a real chance that the Alabama boosters will defund his "NIL" and transfer it to the Retain Ryan Williams account, and then Milroe will go NFL in spite of less money (2nd round or lower, probably lower) or transfer to another team.
And yes, I am well aware that Milroe probably won't sniff the 2nd round. I wouldn't draft him in any round.

Who wouldn't recruit Ryan Williams? I never expected him to stay beyond a year or two at most.

Hopefully they don’t succeed…would hate to lose him…he’s been one of the only bright spots on our team this year….but such is the landscape of today’s college football:(
