The rumor was Oregon waved 3.5million at Dillon Gabriel to get him to leave OU for Oregon….. dont know if totally true but apparently he gets that much and is at Oregon……

I imagine Williams can get a bump….

Any of the big money schools might get him OSU, Michigan, Texass, Aggie, USC…..but hr is probably in a good spot at Bama for development and exposure…..unless he is unhappy there he should stay…they all have a sophomore slump anyway…

Good. Further destroy college football. Stick a fork in it. NIL and Portal have done exactly what was predicted. Sad!
Definitely. They can make rules to regulate it. Starting with what Tuberville (now as politician) said to pass rules that if a player signs with a school they must honor their contract before transfering. It will lead to schools offering one year deals to get them there.

Paying players offers better games but no loyalty to the schools anymore. Tradition and the schools matter little compared to money for alot of top recruits. Only laws making it hard to jump schools will fix it.

Make it where you can't transfer without good cause if you start so many games the previous year.

The transfer portal is just one more gift that the overreaction to covid gifted us.

I don't disagree with being able to transfer easier than before but if you take money to play then you owe the school and boosters your services. I think if you are promised playing time and it doesn't work out the you should be able to leave but without getting anything promised for future playing.

It definitely should be against rules to recruit players like Williams that haven't entered the Portal.

I would have entered the portal at halftime of the Tennessee game.

Julio Jones would have transferred as a freshman. But it worked out pretty good for him.

Most of these guys now are just looking one year at a time instead of what is best for their career.

Only smoke for Ryan Williams is with Texas, since his best friend and old high school QB is now at Texas.

Yeah he was also coached by the best in CFB history. Different times. All about the mighty dollar now. Fans have to look in the mirror as being part of the problem. This won’t be popular amongst the less government crowd but you need legislation to stabilize this insanity

Only way this stops is if the fans walk away. Ohio State, Michigan and Oregon will take the best players from your team on an annual basis and you can’t do shite about it.

Y’all were all warned. It’s going to get uglier.

You do know there is only one ball on the field at a time, right? If he's dissatisfied with his number of catches in Tuscaloosa as the #1 guy, why would he go somewhere where he'd face legit competition as WR1? Money? AuburnChex already told your dumbasses we overpaid for Williams. We'd just pay more.

This dude is the biggest retard on this LSU website (that he spends most of his time moderating )

No offense but this is a laughable statement from a Bama sidewalker.

NIL allows northern teams to come into the south and get southern talent. Its the Big 10 wet dream come true....They'll waltz into the playoffs every year and play and easy schedule while the SEC beats the hell out of each other. Its their only chance to compete with southern teams.
