- '84 Iron Bowl. Overall shite season for Bama (4-6 with losses to Vandy, GT and BC), but it was one of the earliest Iron Bowls I remember watching. 4th and goal from the 1, down 17-15, Au elects to go for it instead of kicking the FG. Wrong way Bo Jackson didn't block to the play side, the AU runner was blown up for a turnover on downs. With that stop and UF's probation, AU missed a Sugar Bowl trip.

-2001 Iron Bowl: Bama coming off a horrible 3-8 2000 season and entering the '01 IB 5-5 dismantled AU 31-7 at JHS to prevent AU from clenching an SEC CG berth.

We were picked by a lot of folks #1 to start the year. Fell on our face first game, then threw up on ourselves the second game and couldn't score. It was a rough season, but they got some wins in there and started to improve. Then there was jetgate the week of the Iron Bowl. Everything was crazy.
Then, on the very first play from scrimmage, Cadillac just made everyone forget about everything else.

For Oklahoma...
Probably number one of the list would be either the 1966 win over Texas after losing eight straight...
Or 1971 over Texas after losing twelve of thirteen.
Other candidates...
Beating Notre Dame in 2013 after losing to them every time we played them other than in 1956.
John Blake's 0-4 team beating Texas in 1996.
OU beating Ohio State in the Shoe in 2017 after they drilled OU in Norman the year before.
Beating Nebraska in Lincoln in 1972 and getting revenge on Johnny Rodgers and Bob Devaney for the loss in the GOTC the year before. Bob Devaney's last home game.

It’s hard to beat the 1992 national title game.
Miami came in with all the swagger and were media darlings.
Alabama put on a defensive clinic; the defense scored 1 TD to Miami’s offense scoring just 2 FGs. The strip by Teague was etched into memories for decades.

2020 at the Swamp.
We were 3-5, terrible team with many opt-outs and injuries. We play #6 Florida and were like a 23 point underdog
That scrappy team won that game and it was all down hill from there for Mullen

I found the full game TV broadcast. I've heard Munson's call a million times, so it's cool to hear someone else. I was only 3 at the time. We were dead in the water by the middle of the 4th quarter. I'd never watch the whole game before so it was cool to feel all the amotions.

After losing @UF 38-6 the prior week, the fanbase was about as down as I've seen it in a long time.
2022: South Carolina (6-5) welcomed #5 Tennessee (9-1) to Columbia and lit them up 63-38.

Thank God instant replay was not a thing then because Doucet did not maintain possession of the ball through the ground.
Dont remember when that maintain possession through the ground rule was implemented but I know it was later for college than the NFL but i thought both came after 2005
