Offseason: Feel Good Wins For Your Team

I’m talking when team/fanbase was going through something and a team win took everyone’s mind off of that for a while.
For LSU my nomination is Jamarcus to Doucet at Arizona State after Katrina. We were in a living hell at the time but the game provided a distraction for a little while that gave us a chance to feel “normal”.

Thank God instant replay was not a thing then because Doucet did not maintain possession of the ball through the ground.

100% Also the ball Jamarcus threw here is just ridiculous. Special arm talent. If his head matched the talent he could have been a fantastic pro.

For many years in the 2000's it was basically Shaun Alexander in the NFL.
Florida in 2005 comes to mind, but it was also depressing.
Then it was 2008 vs Clemson. Also beating Auburn that year was very nice after losing so many in a row.

When we beat Ohio State in Football and dominated the shite out of them despite being told by all the media we had no chance and Michigan should be in the Title game.
41-14..we made them our little bitch. We also beat them for a title in Basketball that year. Was amazing.

As an LSU fan, I’d have to say the ‘01 SEC championship game or possibly the ‘18 Auburn game with Cole Tracy hitting game winning field goal as time expired at Jordan Hare.

In 2021, the UGA internet fan base was very negative after undefeated Georgia lost to Alabama in the SECCG. Then they faced Michigan in the first round of the playoffs and came out looking very pissed off, proceeded to absolutely intimidate a Michigan team that ESPN had been hyping through the roof. They carried that momentum that over to the national championship game.
