That will depend on the number of opt outs.
Even without opt outs that game will be tight. Bama hasn’t smoked any team with a pulse this year

Kleiman is an underrated coach, he did win three titles at North Dakota State before joining K-State.

K-State or not, he’s a good coach and I wish OU would have grabbed him.

I think a lot of programs overlooked him: Big Mistake.

Allstate Sugar Bowl - Alabama vs Kansas State

Not happy about this shitty matchup for the Sugar, though I suppose the Kansas folks will travel. At least NOLA gets a tourism boost.

I’m kinda nervous about that Sugar Bowl man. Alabama used to be the Sugar Bowl gods until Saban got here for some reason. Now they just happen for lesser teams to be super motivated to play Alabama to the best of their ability.

I bet most first round players will sit. No reason for Bama to care about a meaningless bowl game other than for the extra practice.

Will Alabama play Kansas State? Or just see who Vegas has as the favorite and let that decide it?

Will their covered wagons make it that far?

Ah playing the standard SEC “didn’t want to be there” card early.
But you accept the bowl money right?

Mizzou should’ve played Kansas in the Liberty Bowl. Would’ve meant a lot to that bowl tourism wise.

9 days LSU thought they were going to the Sugar Bowl.

And then A&M clubbed them like they were a baby seal

Absolutely terrible all around

Bama will have opt outs at key positions, likely have zero motivation and both coordinators will be gone.

Add on top that NOLA is a cancer of a city then we’ve got pure misery

Just being honest. Who cares about bowls that aren't the playoff? Does anyone? I get that K State cares about playing Bama, but why would Bama care about playing K State?

Bama doesn't need the money, but sure. More about the extra practices imo.

2022 Alabama won’t be suiting up for that game.

I mean there will likely be 2 top 10 NFL draft pick opt outs and as many as 4 total, not to mention the players who are about to hit the portal tomorrow.

Not as though K State is going to be without the reigning Heisman winner and 3 of their other best players.

It’ll be a competitive game but will look more like the 2023 spring game from a roster standpoint than the 2022 Iron Bowl.

Will Bama fans show? They already came down here in November, although not that many did compared to years past.
