Nobody wants to go down with the sinking Saban ship. They know he is in decline and whoever is tethered to him will get the blame as “the staff that ruined the best coach ever”

I don’t even care that much about the offensive coordinator tbh. The defensive coordinator position is far more important. That’s the hire they absolutely need to nail.

I don’t blame nick Saban pursuing Brian Kelly’s coaching tree. Alabama‘s sloppiness looks like shrimp boat hitting on every bailee at the casino.

Nah I think Tommy is talented and this could be a good hire. He needs an experienced HC to work under and Freeman isn’t so it makes sense that he’s realizing that after initially wanting to stay at his alma matter.
It absolutely shows how much of a threat Saban thinks Brian Kelly is though.

Yes you are a lot of us feel the same way. You won’t see anyone butvtrolls spinning this. Maybe he will prove us wrong and I hope so. Dave Bartoo this coaches hiring firm was on radio. He ranked BOB 47th and Rees 49ty. So at best this is a lateral move. He said had Bama hired Grubb print the national title shirts which is obviously hyperbole but I guess his point was with Bamas talent that would be a home run hire.

Probably a done deal. You don’t board an Alabama plane on ND campus if it’s not pretty well set. There’s no coming back from that I would think. I don’t see why this guy is so highly regarded
