Not going to lie, this message board feels odd tonight. The only team we ever rooted for in our past conferences was Nebraska. They did the same. We were hated by all other schools for the most part, and we hated them. Go ask a Poke fan what they think about tonight. It's odd hearing LSU fans compliment the team. Something we have to get used to I suppose. Thanks for the compliments toward the team. They accomplished something tonight I sure didn't expect.

Congrats man. This was a magical post season for Oklahoma.
Lost last 4 weekends of season
Lost first game in sec tourney
Went 14-16 in conference
#11 placed team in the SEC
Post season, the Sooners become a juggernaut and beats
Acc champ in regional 2x's
Big 12 champ in supers 2x's
Sec champ at cws 2x's
Then beat UNC twice
Magical imo. Congrats.

On behalf of the normal non-troll LSU fans I can say that the reason we congratulate y'all and compliment the team is because we stay winning national championships, therefore we're not bitter little bitches.
We're just enjoying some baseball and doing the Birdman hand rub waiting for next year to roll around.

Trust me I wanted North Carolina to win.
However two things are absolutely true you went on a legendary run and Skip Johnson is a likeable coach so it is easy to say congrats you earned it.

This, plus yall are so new, so don't consider yall a conference rival. Also having lived in VA for 15 years, I would of rooted for UGA too, or really most teams, except SC and TU

Oklahoma should petition the ACC to have their regular season and tournament trophies commissioned to Norman - Sooners took out both ACC regular season & tournament winner in the NCAAT

Maybe showing my age a bit - but remember a time where baseball was diff - not near as much of the shite we all sling and talk during football- not saying it was some gentlemen’s game - but there was a certain level of respect for the game or some shite.
This OU team deserves all the praise and more.
When we saw SEC had 5 teams in Omaha - doubt many of us had OU being the one to come out on top. In regional play - damn sure didn’t have them anywhere close to Omaha.

Man, I am glad you posted this because I've been trying to find the right words. If we were still Big 8 / Big 12, the saltiness from conference mates would have been over the top.
The SEC, man. I was so hyped to join this conference but I really get it now, more than ever. All you guys giving props, thank you, you are pure gold. Cheers to all of you

as LSU fans we obviously dial into our teams, especially those magical runs through Omaha and often times we look back and say: man, that guy stepped up in Omaha on the mound and we needed it, or this guy got hot at the right time. sometimes our entire bullpen elevated their play. This OU team was like several of those......you didn't know WHO was going to do it, but you felt that SOMEONE would, and they did. Congrats!

In the SEC, baseball fans have a lot more camaraderie with each other. Yes, we want our team to win but almost all of us appreciate good baseball. And all of our teams make each other better because it is so competitive. So congrats to Oklahoma. You absolutely earned this Natty.

It wasn't "bitter" but I don't really remember us necessarily "rooting for one another either"... But as far as hate goes...Nebraska was well below Texas and Oklahoma State on the Oklahoma side of things.
Nebraska hated OU more because until Colorado got good. They didn't have anyone else. And the entire time Nebraska fans hated Colorado fans way worse than OU fans. And OU fans hated Texas and OSU fans way more than than Nebraska fans.
