re: So the LSU AD says no Saban

I mean realistically many of us really knew this was bs - well maybe not exactly many - but more than a handful, But damn- wish it would have lingered longer - takes away the fun when insane rumors die quickly.

And yall keep joking we will get jimbo- don’t be shocked if we end up with frank wilson.

No wonder LSU ranks 169th in the nation when it comes to academics...no way Saban is coming out of retirement to coach again but LSU fans and that great intellect think otherwise.

Maybe he is coming to teach or run dept of edu?

Rumor is that there could be a turd floater in Baton Rouge at the time of the game. If that's the case, I like TAMU's run game better than LSU's.

This is bullshite! You can’t like the Aggie run game better than lsu’s because we don’t have a run game. So by default you have to like the Aggie run game.

I actually feel for Ole Miss. They are in the thick of the CFP/SECCG hunt. This is exactly the kind of distraction that caused Liberty to come apart at the seams in 2022. We were at 8–1 at the time and proceeded to lose the final three regular season games and our bowl game.

As much as I hate ole miss - have to agree - never fails - some team on the cusp - and mid season they have to contend with rumors and keeping focus.

Reminds me of the miles to Michigan fiasco - of course we were disappointed that he stayed as opposed to leaving.

Unbelievable comeback by Ruston.

Really was - sadly reminded me of a couple miles era lsu/bama games in BR- lsu winning most of game only to blink and lose it in the end. Dejected home crowd silently walking out - as visiting band playing and fans that traveled all celebrating -

Regardless of who you were going for - was a great high school game -

On a side note - for me on the high school level - you feel for the kids who lost, and you can’t help but feel a little twinge of happiness for the kids who won- key word is kids. But you have grown men bitching about a kids performance like they are on scholarship or getting nil money. Tough to stomach hearing some fat old slug dogging some 16 year old kid….

Another battle. Ruston pulls away in the 4th. Ruston by 7

Well- you made a hell of a prediction. Neville up by 17 with 7 mins or so to go in Q4, Ruston scores 21 in those final minutes - unbelievable. Neville also failed to recover an onside kick for 3rd time this season- second time aiding in a loss. This was about the same for them as the STM game, winning 3 1/2 quarters - and losing it in last half of 4th.

Hell of a game - especially for 100th meeting between the two. Good clean physical game- not too many penalties on either side.

STM wins 27-23 These scrappy little Catholic kids find a way to win.

No two ways about it - things were not going well at all for stm in first half - looked at times NHS had chance to take em out of it - second half - stm made significant adjustments and executed - hats off to those kids- tough well coached team and obviously never gave up

Texas is the destroyer of worlds and will eventually destroy the SEC. It's what they do. OU is just their little bitch that acts like they are rivals but 364 days a year they are licking the spot where Bevo's nuts were cut off to make it a steer.

The tea sips just irk me - the damn near elitist attitude while situated in fricking Austin - the Ellis island for CA transplants. Look I mean - I know Baton Rouge mirrors downtown beruit - but at least I ain’t gotta worry about some hippie dropping a deuce and a hobo yanking his pod while I’m being held up at gun point.

OU - yeah big time, blue blood - and all that but just pure blandness - in league with Missouri on that - just boring no southern charm, style or insanity.

Aggies- shite, I’ll pick on em all day long - but still give em credit for how they gave a big frick you to the tea sips when they joined the sec.

Do the tea sips travel? They don’t seem like the traveling type fan base -

They're just missing something. I'm not sure what it is. I feel like his players respect him. They play hard despite the L's

I have heard players love him and all that good shite - or at least recall hearing that when he was at USL.

But agreed they are just missing something - now some of Napiers in game decisions do not help. They are a dangerous team for someone on their schedule - almost a lock they might ruin someone’s season
quote:

The SEC as a whole is down, just like last year. Everyone has some pretty serious flaws.

I could say down - but also could make argument - maybe more parity in the sec than we have seen in quite a while. Obviously it has been bama then everyone else, then UGA with a short dominant period - with one of us every once in a while popping up- but sure seems like our days of seeing some juggernaut storming through the conf schedule are over for now.
It’s bullshite - they shouldn’t - and any of our teams with that schedule damn sure would not

But bare min - they go 10-2 and they will damn sure be in the discussion

ESPN still has to sell soap - and what is gonna sell more ads 10-2 Notre dame against a week schedule or 10-2 whoever who maybe beat a few ranked opponents - maybe on road?

shite Aggies should not just be happy for beating a ranked nd in their place - they now get into the sphere of influence - regardless of how they do rest of season they will have to get propped up to ensure the ND illusion

If ND wins out - and they make playoffs - it’s complete bullshite - but ND has lot more eyes watching than rest of us - so you can guess how that will go

They would have 2 losses to the only 2 ranked teams they played- the second one being at home.

OU - they sure seem to be putting it together - granted have not been able to watch much of them - but sounds like they are damn sure on right path

Bama - as much as we joke about how they lost to fsu - and way they lost, they damn sure have the talent to beat anyone - and even assuming lot of the issues they had against fsu aren’t exactly fixed overnight - Would be foolish to count them out of anything - that uga game will be very interesting

As an lsu fan - I can say with honesty - every damn sec team left on schedule scares me - to the degree where never would have been worried about playing Vandy on the road.
Besides all this nonsense - this super does two things - knocks another sec off the road to Omaha.

But does guarantee we will have at least one sec team out of 13 make it

I ain’t saying shite. If we win our first season opener since Trumps first term, I will formulate an opinion.

I like this outlook- think I will follow the same.

Either we will have bought some success or do our part protesting NIL

No kidding - 4 out of 13?
8 sec hosts and 50 percent make it out?
7 hosts out of 16 go down?

Dangerous regional weekend.

Nobody does. I didn’t know it was the playoffs until 10 minute ago when I saw something about game 5 on the bottom line.

No kidding - and I didn’t know it was playoffs until I read your post about how you noticed the bottom line. From what I understand NBA is steadily losing market share is that right? Reckon how long until they tell the WNBA - um, we can’t make this years prop up payment - good luck

Interesting how this question can be applied in so many ways
The whole Bo Rein story is a sad one indeed. Not to take away from the tragedy - but also have to wonder what could have been.

And I hate going down the what could have been road - as in- one Nicholas Saban listened to some peers that dabbled in the nfl and said you know what - I’m gonna take their advice and forget about the pro ranks.
