Why not? Even random people from Utah know that brisket isn't BBQ.

Open pit whole hog BBQ over hickory slabs smoked all night and turned at midnight. Will make y'all throw rocks at 'the other junk'!!

Only someone who supports Joe Biden and James Clyburn would think that mustard on BBQ is appropriate. In other words, un-American.

You nailed it pardner. BBQ done right is exquisite in any form. It is a sign of God’s love for mankind. Chicken, Pork, Beef, Sausage are all delicious when prepared by someone who knows the art of “Q”.

Like Riley ... that brisket of his was so dry looking it was offensive
Yes it was. Only two options with that brisket. Put it in a crock pot with a shite ton of BBQ sauce then try and choke it down on a sandwich or probably the better option would be to throw it away.

None of those hold a candle to Luling City Market. Skip Lockhart and drive 30 miles south to Luling.
Kreutz in particular was trash the last time I was there. Black's has great beef ribs, but City Market beats everything else on the Lockhart big 3 menu.
And +1 on, if you have to drown the meat in sauce to make it taste good, you don't know how to BBQ.

Yeah I meant to put City Market in Luling, TX on the list. Got lost in my listicle.
The best play is driving to Austin via I-10 so you can turn north through Luling first, then hitting the other spots in Lockhart on your way to Austin.
Also reminds me of a great spot in San Antonio: The Granary. Sadly, now closed.
Think the bottom of your response missing a place name, but would probably concur with you

Yeah you can find that in Texas near the border towns

Also, go to Louie Mueller BBQ in Taylor and try their brisket and beef ribs. You ain’t had a true Texas experience unless you have had a giant beef rib.
In Austin, try Brown’s bbq that’s located on South Lamar in a food trailer on the side of the road. Better than Franklin in my opinion. Go to Google and check out Brown’s reviews.

No, Jimbo got his extension in September when everyone else was sleeping. You think LSU is just NOW coming after him???That's what that was all about.
Now back to more serious things like BBQ. If you're on the East Coast, you're talking pouring sauce on something on a grill and yelling "come and get it" 35 minutes later.
There's a reason we dont mind taking 10 hours (at LEAST) for our "BBQ".
oh, and you might call that long-arse method the "Zeb Noland" plan of preparation.

The people in here that say Brisket isn't BBQ suck at life and have never had a good brisket. Pork is great and all but it's the simplest thing to smoke. Probably the real reason they say brisket isn't BBQ is because they suck at BBQ and stick with the easy stuff. Pork doesn't haven't near the flavor beef does. Sorry to hurt anyone's feelings with facts.

I actually agree with a Sooner on this.

Thank you for still giving a shite about this game.
After that staged Cockfinity War I tried to do a couple years ago I got burned out.

Killen's is good. But in the Houston area, I will give the nod to Brett's in Katy, TX.
