And get your asses out to California for the championship game. LOL. It’s good because ESPN told everyone it’s good for college football. Apparently 80 percent of America doesn’t give a shite about this game.

I am not sure of the point you are trying to make?

Nobody is going to the game because it on the other side of the country and the airlines have jacked up plane tickets so high that it is extremely expensive to go.

1000% chance that the ticket prices would be the same as last year if it was in Atlanta again.

And yet, in what may be the ultimate embarrassment, the game could be played in front of empty seats at Levi Stadium.

And they still aren't buying tickets at a 90% discount.

Ninety(90) percent (%).

Nine-zero percent.

Yeah... it's astounding that a game held, literally, on the other side of the country is less-attended than a game held right in between the two participants' home towns.

Why give California the satisfaction of using my tax dollars against me?

Anyways

1247 miles from L8U to cheap Glendale

1951 miles from Tuscaloose to expensive Santa Clara

And there will still be more people in the stands than this

I wouldnt enter the State of California if the tickets were free, and your beer came with a blowjob.

Nah, Dan Wetzel is on this mantra. Bruce Feldman blasted him on Finebaum.

A large part of which is paying the correct people to "enhance our odds" of making it to such games

Its a multi-faceted approach. Something elite programs aspire too. Something L8U cannot afford.

I think you suck big dick at very simple math. Sad! And your team managed a stellar 61.8% capacity at your bowl, despite it essentially being a home game for the other team

It is not surprising that 2 teams that each have NCs in the CFP era, multiple postseason games each year, appearances in 3 out of the last 4 NC games, playing across the country in a non-major CFB area that is extremely expensive by all measures has not been a major draw for fans.

Why the championship game ever goes west of Kansas City is insane to me.

Two posts that I’ve seen thus far and both reference LSU in a totally unrelated topic.

Obsession- it’s not just a fragrance,

There are no Alabama fans outside of Alabama? No Clemson fans outside of South Carolina? Interesting.

Okay, enough of the foolishness. Part of the issue is the location (very poor choice). Part of the issues is simple fatigue. These two teams have been in the National Championship picture for the past several games. At some point the shine is worn off.

My take? With the best of intentions, the CFP has failed. We had a workable system with the BCS. This is not the NFL. We will never have a playoff and I do not think we should. Can anyone say that Alabama and Clemson are not the two best teams in the nation? All the semi-finals did was validate what we already knew. There are (right now) two elite teams and then everyone else. Stop pretending that a semi-final changed that.

I'd buy a ticket if they moved the game to San Diego.

Why should people want to watch the same dang game we've seen 3 times already?

And FWIW, my sister in law is flying from AUSTRALIA to see the game...

Honestly I blame Clemson. frickers.

If this was Bama vs a good OSU, a good USCw, this would be watched. But sadly those teams are not good enough and the ACC is shite so we are stuck with Bama Clemson Part 4. Worse than Star Wars.
