re: Not trolling. Why is a FCS/Mid-major-level football program like Vanderbilt in the SEC?

Why, every tu fan I’ve ever come across is exactly that arrogant. It’s a disease at tu.

You must not be familiar with college baseball…

so texas has someone to play at 11 o'clock because as bad as texas has been over the last 10 years, your not going to sniff prime time games, these times are for the big boys of the conference.

You have no idea man. I am glad that we got a 10 year vacation from their shite.

Those bottom dwellers can kick your arse. UK has beaten ranked teams in their last three bowls. What you perceive as bottom dwellers are mid pack to upper third in any other conference.

Also Vandy is a charter member of the SEC. The other members value their loyalty and return it. Something UTa is totally unfamiliar with.

Vandy is fantastic at baseball and has had good basketball teams. They’ve also been here a lot longer then you pledge

Guess who's won this 25 of the last 26 years.

Fact, the Dores have more credibility to be in the SEC as a whole than Texas.

I really want to believe that the complete moron longhorn posters starting all the threads on the SEC rant are just alter trolls of existing posters, but there’s got to be a few real ones in there for the average to remain so consistently moronic. It’s like sad UFCknight and some arkie posters had a baby and that baby made a baby with Harvie Updyke.

You know for all the arrogance these new sip posters show regarding academics you would think they understood the concept of FOIA.
Why do you think the last member of the Big 12 in the 90's was going to be either Baylor or TCU?
Private schools in a conference exempt interconference communication from FOIA requests. Every major conference has at least one private school.
ACC: Duke, Wake Forest, Miami
Big 12: Baylor, TCU
Big Ten: Northwestern
PAC 12: Stanford, USC
SEC: Vanderbilt

You don't understand the problem. The Cal schools (UCLA/Cal), Stanford, Vandy, etc have such large endowment's and budgets that they will never fund the football program like an SEC school. Texas is an anomaly with athletics. These other schools will be forced to invest in facilities, etc or drop down like Harvard, etc. The University of Alabama depends on the football team for marketing the University. Stanford makes more on their investments than everyone in the SEC combined minus Texas and Vandy. Stanford will never care about sports.

Vanderbilt has two more recent national championships in a major sport than Texas...

Thank you. This comes up every year and every year someone has to explain this to folks. I appreciate that you used small words to describe it to our new Whorn fans.
Unless we swap in Tulane for Vandy (why would we?) the SEC will never get rid of Vanderbilt unless the campus is destroyed by a random asteroid strike.

Vanderbilt = Rice in Longhorn eyes. I have nothing but respect for Vandy (and Rice).
The original post is most likely a troll. Probably aggy.
Vanderbilt is a leading university in the world (like Rice). The SEC is rightfully proud to have Vandy as a member. As a Longhorn (and not as a slight to any school than aggy), Vandy is a valuable asset to the SEC and a reason to come to the SEC.
-----------
This board has an alter/troll problem - as pointed out by multiple longtime posters.
