What do non-LSU fans think the outcome of this game will be?

6:30 pm, Tiger Stadium, Gameday, Lane's first game, poor ole aw shucks Dabo trying to right his ship, Chad Morris now calling plays for Clemson, a lot of new faces on LSU's roster, etc.

Pretty intriguing I'd imagine even for non-LSU fans, but maybe not.

Chance of rain, which could make it extra sloppy on top of two new offensive systems going out there for the first time.

Unless the rain causes major turnover issues, LSU should roll. Clemson defense lost a bunch of NFL talent from last year so don’t expect a repeat of 17-10.

ETA: oh, and Clemson breaking in a new QB against a top 10 defense. I would love nothing more than a Lane face plant, but it just ain’t happening here.

LSU should roll.

You guys have a lot of talent, and Clemson is reeling - they have weak spots all over the field, on offense and defense.

If LSU does struggle then that's probably not a good sign, as Clemson is a BAD ACC team at the moment. It is the first game of the season, so issues might be addressed over time, but still - I mean, we lost to a bad FSU team to start the season and ended up only losing one more game during the regular season and making the playoffs, so who knows.

But yeah, LSU SHOULD destroy Clemson. I'm honestly surprised you're only 10.5 favorites over them; if anything, probably because it's hard to gauge exactly how good LSU will look considering the complete overhaul.

I think if this is later in the year, LSU would roll. Clemson will not be defeated mentally yet in week 1.

I'm pretty nervous about breaking in a new offense, new QB, new LT, new RB, and all new WRs against a discipline Clemson defense.

I think we'll make some mental errors on offense that keeps it close, but we score late to put it away. Something like 24-20 going into the 4th quarter and hopefully then put it away 31-20.

Something like LSU 31-13. I don't think it will be particularly close, even if the score feels that way.
