So don't play a Conference Championship game...these games have become completely useless
2 of them were rematches
I would rather see PLAY-IN GAMES instead of CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES
Alabama shouldn't have to beat Georgia TWICE in order to secure their status as regular season champs

Let me let you in on a secret about tRant with their talk on this board, whether it’s predicting the playoffs or complaining about the refs: they want Bama to lose and lose out.

Should 2 g6 teams get in that play a schedule that any of the top 20 P4 teams would probably be undefeated. All the media has done is compare schedules of the top 12 in the last few rankings with who they played, who they beat, and who they lost to. Who has the better wins and who had the better loses. But we completely ignore that 2 g6 teams that basically play a HS schedule are getting an automatic berth this year.
I have no issue with Alabama being left out but please tell me if the playoff is about the best teams in the country playing for a NC why do we have two g6 teams in it.

It started last Tuesday when the committee put them at 9 after beating a bad Auburn team. We wouldn’t be having this conversation now, if they wouldn’t have done that.
Expansion to 16, remove the conf. Championship games, and remove the automatic bids.

It’s funny to you that you don’t fathom that the playoffs changed drastically in those two years?
I’m not advocating for Bama, but you’re making an apples to oranges comparison here. 4 teams in vs 12 changes the criteria dramatically.

They didn't have to. They needed to beat Florida State or Oklahoma and they are easily in.

How is it any different than if they were in a game one in the playoffs and lost? they’re done for the season and have no trophy. At least they had an opportunity to earn a trophy in a game with sudden death implications. Ole miss and 8&4 have to win four more games for a trophy

I didn't hear that back in 2011. LSU played Bama twice. Hard to get up for a team you beat already a second time.
