Your CFP stats are skewed, as you well know. It didn’t exist in 2001, 2003, 2007, or 2011.

We beat Georgia’s arse in 2018 and 2019 when on “paper” they had better teams. Kirby is challenged as a coach, despite his ability to recruit. Frankly , he is a Nick cloan with worse timing. Nick hit the pro style offense with his defensive style at the perfect time. Kirby’s style is similar, which is why LSU in 2018/2019 and Tua ate him alive. He won’t beat a fully supplied Kelly team going forward.

UGA much > than LSU. UGA's has made 3 CFP appearances, LSU 1.

Making the BCS championship game was literally twice as hard as making the CFP. Why are we ignoring those?

They can and do it all the time.

Alabama fans will have you believe that if you're team isn't Alabama, they suck. Which only means that Alabama is the best of a bunch of shitty teams.

...The argument against LSU is that they only went to one SECCG game in 11 seasons between 2008 and 2019.

Yep. GA may take over the #2 spot if they keep it up and we don't make it past (or to) Atlanta.

I am not saying Florida is number 2....Long way to go to get back there. But you might want to get the number correct if you post them. A decade is ten years, not 20.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS:

LSU – 3
Georgia – 1(maybe 2)
Florida - 2

CFP appearances

Florida - 0
LSU - 1
Georgia - 3

Weeks ranked No. 1 in the CFP

Florida - 0
LSU - 3
Georgia - 12

SECCG victories
Florida - 3
LSU – 5
Georgia – 4

Series record this century
UF v LSU 9 - 14
UF v UGA 13 - 10
LSU 6-5

SECCG head to head this century

LSU 3-2

SECCG appearances this decade (wow, learn what a decade is 2013 - 2022)
Florida - 3
LSU – 2(Not 7)
GEORGIA - 5(Not 10)

3 is still more than 1 correct?

How about 5 more than 4?

Required more luck. You want extra credit for being lucky?

UGA got to reap the benefits of being in East for years. Not the same for the Tigers. How many times did it take for them to get over the Bama hump?

This is irrelevant because Georgia still had to face Bama in some of those SEC championship games.

Richt and Miles underachieved with some incredible teams.

I don't believe you can compare the two when it comes to underachieving. Miles made it to two championships and won one. The fact his team shite the bed in the BCS game in 2011 has unfairly tainted his entire career. The better comparison for Miles today is Kirby Smart. Of course, Kirby can blow past that comparison in the next 2 games.

It’s relevant in racking up game appearances.

Their 2007 teams were very similar.

Not a huge difference between their 2011 and 2012 teams either.

It’s a good comparison

Lots of “ifs” in there. However….IF we do win it all 3 National Championships trump 2.

All times could get closer, but we need to win this year and another year to eclipse them this century.

Not sure it matters how many staffs LSU has had or who the coaches were. What matters is they have 3 Natty’s. Period. The whole aim of college football is to win titles and they have done it. They’ve been on a great roll and who knows if it is over. They certainly had a good year this year.

In fairness, a century starts in the first year. Ex. 1801, 1901, 2001

Yeah. It caught me by surprise when I looked it up, too.

I would probably still put Florida ahead of Georgia as it stands today. If we win out that might change.
