I would think this is Oregon trying to buy their way into big10. Anything Nike does for the big 10, the sec will ask for the same or more.

Why would Nike pay the SEC the same or more? Your exposure will be limited to ESPN, a channel that is hemorrhaging customers and money. The B1G ib the other hand will be on 3 different networks, increasing its exposure and adding to the value of its brand which will increase the payout from our sponsors.

What an original thought. You are only the 10th person to say the same thing. Can't you all think for yourselves?

It looks like the B1G is about to make some more money.

Make it rain Mr. Warren.

If true and the B10 lands an above market price conference wide deal with Nike as part of a package to accept Oregon, then you have to hand it to them. Most of us assumed the B10 was taking Oregon automatically once the USC deal was announced, but if they can package Oregon with a long term Nike deal, then hats off to the B10.

ESPN and ABC, but okay.

People tune into the game, not the channel.

Both the SEC and B1G have 9 teams in the current (2021) top 25 cFB viewership including streaming services.

Ucla and USC are both outside the top 25 and only slightly ahead of UK for football viewership

OU and UTx are in the top 25.

More channels doesn't necessarily mean more viewership.

I think both conferences will somehow be fine.

I agree that both leagues will be fine and make money.

It is a boss move of pure genius by Warren. He could have taken Oregon with USC/UCLA but he waited for the right offer to maximize the return for the B1G and can now begin work on the 4th window for us.

Nike has a special bond with Oregon. Looks to me like they are attempting to bribe the Big 10 into taking the Ducks.

Exactly. The good for nothing nuts are too stupid to realize the end game.

Oh, are they? The SEC has the same number of titles in the last 3 years as the B1G in the last 50.

Like Usain Bolt racing a handicap.

The other 13 spent the previous decade jock riding Alabama but run their mouths like their team was part of the success. The only part their teams played was taking the L's.

4 different SEC teams won NC’s in the last decade.

How many BIG won in that same timespan?

This is a sports topic on a sports board. It is on topic since the B1G and SEC are in an arms race.

An arms race signifies two competing nuclear powers. Your conference has 1 national championship in the last 20 years.

The SEC has 14 of the last 20 national champs by 5 different teams. Go back to the children’s table please.
