Tua now deemed injury prone because he’s had 3 surgeries over the last 2 years. But, 2 of the 3 were completely elective such that Saban could get Tua back on the field quickly. Dude had 2 sprained ankles...not exactly a big deal.

So it is the surgeries for the injuries, not the injuries themselves, that make him injury prone? That makes sense.

You are accusing the man of putting a kid thru unnecessary surgery for his own gain!

Nope. Not once. Now you are projecting. I question his decision of even playing the poor kid against State.

That is what this post is all about, Saban making him a surgery so he can play sooner.

That is some really sick shite!

Again, you are projecting. Muh Coach Sabah can’t do no wrong!
It is sick to say a man would do something like that, but like I said your fan base suffers from so much hatred they can't make reasonable a judgement.

quote:
I mean, it's one thing to criticize him for a stupid play call, missing on a recruit, etc., but doing this is just you guys being unhinged!

Half your fan base said the same thing right after the injury.

Some fans were angry and some are just crazy. Every team has those, but not half our fan base blames Saban. We know, we are part of that fan base, not you!

Yep, Saban out there just surgerizing kids left and right that don't need it. I think you're on to something

Actually, most expert analysts agree that NFL players avoid these surgeries. Saban pressures Tua to go under the knife.

Really sad to see Saban ruin that young man’s career over his lust for winning.

Maybe not half; but at least 1/3. Go to the game thread (if Boz hasn’t deleted it) and read it your damn self. I hope Tua fully recovers and has a great NFL career. But I could give a shite about Saban or his delusional fan base.

Should've sat him for State.

It’s pretty simple, when you don’t have to have surgery, don’t.. let your body heal like it’s intended to do. I understand that in a lot of cases we need surgery, but neither of his ankle surgeries required it. I’ll guarantee you Tua had never heard of that ankle surgery until someone approached him about it. He’s a great kid and intense competitor, but the head coach and medical staff should’ve let his body heal naturally instead of steering him toward those surgeries.

Right. It’s a damn high ankle sprain. Worse come to worst, 6 weeks and Tua stays in the first round!

Unlike, Orgeron who held Fournette out of bowl game against his wishes. But, Saban already said he’s only cared about 4-5 of his players out of the 1000s he’s coached.

I guess you missed the tight rope procedure being employed on LSU players in the past.

Not worried about Alabama nor Saban. You guys can keep the old codger. His defense is out of date and incapable of adjusting while his offense isn’t modern/diverse enough. His offense has benefited from having a generational talent in Tua. Good luck next year with Mac.

Now this is a hot take. Alabama has been using spread philosophies since 2014. Breaking plenty of program and SEC offensive records.

You can question the defense. But I’m not calling it dead until we see a veteran group of defenders not get it down.

But don’t act like Aranda has figured it out either. You’ve got your own defensive issues to deal with.

Ah, the ouroboros of fandom:

Fan A: "Your coach is evil and is worse than Hitler!"

Fab B: "My coach is a saint and is the second coming of Christ!"

It's like politics, but with a greater adherence to color scheme.

Tua went through what he did so he could continue to play the game, not be a pussy blaming others.

true. Tua didn't limp all game then as soon as the clock hits zero he starts hobbling around like a battlefield amputee.

Stick with one narrative:

Saban is an arse for playing Tua when he had an injured ankle.

OR

Tua's ankle wasn't injured and it was all theatrics.

It can't be both.

Not an arse, but why not sit him for at least one game? Mac or Taulia would've rekt State

The injury was so unfortunate and I don't think Saban can be blamed because it happened in the first half.

The one thing that is possible is that having pain he was compensating to some degree and it could have had some effect. It may be impossible to say for certain but that is the one thing that you just can't discard.

JMO, Saban played the “game time decision card all week leading up to the game. If Tua was in that bad a condition to be a game time decision then Saban shouldn’t have gambled on his (Tua) future. Saban rolled the dice and came up snake eyes.

Tua shouldn’t have played against Mississippi State IMO.

Tua should’ve never been on the field for the LSU or miss st games. Probably some of Saban’s worst decisions and he will have to live with them.
