No, that only says they can't play for LSU. They can sign with any other college they want.
The SEC was told by the judge they couldn't impose punishment on any school that would roster them however they scheduled a meeting to vote on kicking LSU out of the SEC for breaking a rule that was created after the players got the TRO.
So for the people who don't remember.... Players filed TRO in Colorado (July 31st 2026) and Louisiana (Aug 19th 2026). SEC gets wind of this and then puts out the rule banning returning former NBA, NFL, and MLB players (provides definitions on what they consider pro-players) on Aug 25th. 2026.
Kiffin state on Aug 31 that he would abide by SEC ruling was there was clarity. Sankey stated he would comply with the TRO ruling on Aug 29th.
Then SEC files suit against LSU and State of Louisiana while putting it in the media they planning on voting to kick LSU out of the SEC.
LSU complied with the SEC and didn't roster the players then decided to end the drama by locking their roster for the year.
So the SEC changed the rule after the players started this process and LSU complied. Sankey didn't comply with the judge like he stated. That's the facts

So the NFL and the courts are in agreement that they're college players with eligibility. Sounds like Sankey is in hot water.

Idiots posting they are going to sue LSU want to now conviently forget about this part while they were actively cheering it on not long ago.
Sankey and the SEC defied court orders and an appellate court upheld that decision. They gonna have to pay up now.

They we going to make way more money once the sec loses in court again. Probably work out better in the end for these players with the big checks the sec will have to cut. Can’t believe Sankey screwed this simple thing up this bad.

They can all thank the incompetent NCAA for totally screwing up the 5 for 5 ruling.... then instead of being neutral, the SEC takes that terd sandwich the NCAA made and pissed all over it.

What if the SEC would've made a rule about 6 or 7 year players after Chambliss got his TRO? Then threatened to kick Ole Miss out if they rostered and played him? Ole Miss fans would've lost their minds... same with Vandy if the SEC would've said Pavia couldn't play after the courts allowed it.
And the SEC didn't act to concerned about Pro Players when Bama rostered and played Bediako.... no threats of votes to kick them out the SEC. So spare everyone the self righteousness of the hypocrisy when wanting to call out LSU or Kiffin... Anyone with half a brain can see its all bull$h!t

I just don’t understand what TF the point of this shite is.
Entire class of 2022 gets screwed by NCAA, then these two dudes get singled out by the SEC, now singled out by the NFL… for no apparent reason.
I hope they sue the hell out of the SEC and the NFL.

All a big show to distract from an egregious decision by the powers that be to not include the 2022 class in the 5 for 5 rule. This has been a campaign for the ages for distractions. Sankey went so far as to testify on the stand that he had not read the 5 for 5 rule before that day. This was his job...

The SEC is not entitled to retroactively implement rules that fly in the face of a court order. The NCAA is not entitled to write rules that clearly unfairly disadvantage one high school class.
And the US government wrote the rulebook on antitrust, so at least that answer is clear.
