No ACC team will be joining the SEC any time soon.

The popular team, I DO NOT WANT, is VA Tech. They would be a middle of the road team in football, and may actually hurt basketball(if that's possible), and are good at no other sports.
ODU may actually help basketball more, but frick them.

What makes South Carolina so important in this conversation?
What has South Carolina ever done?
Honest question. Just seems like your whole University is sucking money from the rest of the SEC each year.
Really doesn't seem fair, considering how we share bowl money each year.
$18,000,000 this year from Auburn in the Sugar compared to South Carolina at the Birmingham Bowl at $1,950,000.
Your welcome!

USC is important, as in, like UF, UK, UGA, and A&M, they won't vote to add a team from an existing state.

Next addition to the SEC will be either Va/VA Tech or NC State. That's it.

You guys trying to be your own version of the European Union? What's with all the dreams of globalization? How big does the SEC need to be, 18 teams, 24, 30? Let's just put the Power 5 teams in one big conference?
Stop these nonsense discussions!

Agree, but I would make it four and not just the last two.

Why in the hell do FANS want MORE teams in the SEC? Most of your teams already never make it to Atlanta.

Four more schools? If some of you had your way the conference would be as big as the Southern Confernece was in 1928, it had -
Alabama
Auburn
Georgia
Georgia Tech
Ole Miss
Mississippi State
Kentucky
Tennessee
Vanderbilt
Sewanee
Virginia
Virginia Tech
VMI
Washington and Lee
Clemson
South Carolina
Maryland
North Carolina
North Carolina State
Duke
LSU
Tulane
Florida
The schools realized the size was out of hand and a break away conference was formed known as the SEC in 1934.
Keep the expansion up and one day you'll wake up to realize that the conference offices have been moved to Boston, Massachusetts and the SEC logo has been replaced with the rainbow flag. Your next two expansions schools will then be Ciudad Universitaria Mexico and the University of Toronto.

Two good choices, but as others have mentioned OU and Okie Lite are connected at the hip

Don't need them. SEC too big now

You will not get UNC without NC State and UNC does not see the SEC as an upgrade due to basketball first and their rival games with Duke and NC State in all sports. People need to remember that UNC to Duke is 12 miles and UNC to NC State is 25 miles(if that).
Also the ACC assured that no one will leave the ACC anytime soon. The new TV deal with the ACC and ESPN locked down all teams in the ACC now until 2036. If UNC, VTech or whoever left decided to go lets say to the SEC half the money earned via playing one of those teams will go back to the ACC. The ACC team that left would get no television revenue unless the other other SEC teams would want to give up part of their share. No way the SEC will allow that much money to go back to the ACC and no way a school would leave the ACC and get no television money.

As a college sports fan, these conversations are always fun but, in this case, totally unreasonable:
UNC/UVA are not going to leave the ACC for tons of reasons:
Grant of Rights through 2036
Not a good fit. Both schools have 28 sports and are very supportive of M/W soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, field hockey, etc. Those sports would have no home in the SEC.
Administrations would not support move.
UNC is the epicenter of the ACC. Why would it want to come to the SEC to serve at the alter of Alabama?
SEC and ACC are both great conferences - similar but different. No need for either to expand.

Oklahoma isn't leaving Ok St and North Carolina isn't leaving Duke

I believe I read something years ago about the board of regents regarding OK and OK State would have to be a package deal.

I'll never understand it. The SEC is tough anyway and idiots keep posting "Let's also add Oklahoma and FSU."

Veto Oklahoma. Their band plays only one song and it's fricking annoying.

Texas and Oklahoma.
Realign the divisions like:
West:
Texas
A&M
OU
Arkansas
Mizzou
LSU
Ole Miss
Miss St
East:
Alabama
Auburn
Vandy
Tennessee
Kentucky
S. Carolina
Georgia
Florida
I also wouldn't mind:
Clemson, Florida St, Tulane, Georgia Tech (they're legacies), Memphis, TCU, UNC, VaTech, or West Virginia
