Meh, Bama was on probation. Nobody worth a shite wanted that job and I don't blame them. Tennessee has no such excuse.

Well he’s definitely not talking about Tennessee because they are well past their third choice

he ended up making the best hire imo

We'll see how many years it takes for him to recruit the kind of kids his offense requires. Plus, they probably need a defense in that conference.

Definitely not throwing a jab at Tennessee here..

VOLS would be THRILLED to have gotten their third choice.

Neb may want to curb their enthusiasm; Frost may not have "the goods" to be the CEO at a Power 5 school.

Not really a "shot" per se...just stating a fact

This guy is a douchebag. If I am walking down the sidewalk and find a $100 bill, it does not make me a genius, nor give me cause to demean those that worked for their $100 bill.

I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

That is total BS. Name me another school that has a former player coaching that is one of the hottest commodities in college football.

Frost was going to Nebraska regardless of which team(s) came after him.

I know Alabama fans want to pretend 1995-2006 never happened but it did.

Stallings was still at Bama for 1995 and 1996 seasons. So what you actually meant to say was 1997-2006. Even during that decade, Bama somehow managed an SEC title and three 10 win seasons. Something that is but a pipe dream to Vols fans at the moment.

Tennessee’s 3rd choice was 7 coaches ago

He got a lot less money than he could have gotten somewhere else.

Nebraska has little cause to talk smack. Their football program has not been relevant for decades.

Dubose has a more recent SEC title than Tennessee.

Moos did his own image no favors by those remarks, except maybe in the eyes of the NE fanbase.

Perhaps he was talking to those who had clamored for an early firing of Riley, in order to get in the game with UF and UT.

Moos may have known for a good while that he would get his guy, but didn't want to come out now and say that did.

The smarter play would have been to hold his tongue. His fanbase is thrilled with the Frost hire. Moos didn't need to throw shade at UF and UT to pump himself to his fanbase.

Remember last year when Butch Jones and UT humiliated Nebraska in a bowl game? And that was one of the most disappointing seasons in UT history

He got lucky. If Frost wasn’t from Nebraska he wouldn’t have answered their call.

And he still won't win big there. He might contend for
his division because it's so crappy but Nebraska is not
the same job that it was in the 70's,80's and 90's

Maybe Bill can get the NCAA to allow them to restart all those county booster clubs that paid for schollys of walk-ons at NU.

Funny,Nebraska folks deny that was ever the case but all I know is they had loads of "walk ons" playing for em in the 70's and 80's and some became AA's.They also don't have the S&C "advantage"( aka roids) they has back then as well.

After they lost like 7 bowls in a row in the late 80's
and early 90's Osborne went all in and recruited all sorts of questionable kids to make his run in the mid 90's.
