How bad is the SEC?.... half of the conferences programs have 3 or fewer NCAA Tournament wins since 2007.

NCAA Tournament Wins since 2007:

33- Kentucky
24- Florida
13- Tennessee
9- Texas A&M
5- Auburn
4- Missouri, South Carolina
3- Arkansas, LSU
2- Ole Miss
1- Alabama, Miss St., Vanderbilt
0- Georgia

Ten of the leagues' programs have combined for just 24 total NCAA Tournament wins during a 13-year span.... that equates to just 1 NCAA Tournament win every 5.4 seasons for those programs.

Horrific. Kentucky and Florida have carried the SEC in Basketball in recent years. Tennessee has been formidable. The Aggies have a decent number of wins but unfortunately most of those were before they joined the conference.

Take out 1 magical run and we'd probably be sitting at 1 or 0.

Very top heavy and has always been. Some of the names change over time, besides UK most have had inconsistent runs at the top.

Curious, why pick a 12 year window, why not 10 or 15?

All four of South Carolina's wins came in one season.
Four of Auburn's five came in one season.

What is special about 2007? This is a weird thread.

I mean who wants to count LSU's 2006 final four?

SEC went 13-5 in the ‘06 tournament, I guess.

But I agree. For the most part, our conference has been shite lately.

I'm aware. I'm saying we probably win our first game during the run, so either 1 or 0 because that was our only appearance.

Interesting. Thank goodness for our 2017 run or we'd be sitting at the bottom with UGA.

Why did you choose 2007? LSU’s would be higher if you counted our 2006 final 4. Not that our body of work is impressive but still

He certainly didn’t do it to boost Georgia’s numbers

My guess would be because there were some programs that had good runs and a bunch of NCAATs from 2000-2006 that dropped off in 2008.

Is the metric since the 2007 NCAA Tournament or since the start of Calendar Year 2007?

If it's the former, A&M went 1-1 in 2008, 1-1 in 2009, 1-1 in 2010, 0-1 in 2011, 2-1 in 2016 and 2-1 in 2018.

If it's the latter, A&M went 2-1 in 2007 as well.

2006 was a good year for the league. There were six current SEC programs that made the Second Round. Two made the Final Four.

2007 was the real turning point for the league it seems.... Outside of South Carolina and Auburn each making a strong one-season presence, only three programs have done anything significant: Kentucky, Florida, and Tennessee

That's my point.

One is not like the others.
