Politicians who accept huge sums of money from China enacted legislation that benefited China at the expense of American interests? Shocking. Next you’ll tell me they enacted more legislation to artificially increase demand for those minerals that China has a virtual monopoly on.

My dad was a senior NCO in 7th Cav at the time, and was left behind at Benning with a significant number of other senior NCO’s to train replacements, but Big Army realized the mistake fairly quickly and he joined them in country not long after. He always seemed irritated by the fact they were initially left out.

There is a right way to do it, but it would involve the coast guard attempting an interdiction and the smugglers failing to cooperate. Apparently the method that had settled law to support it was rejected.
