Alyssa Faircloth with the no-no. She gave up a walk in the first and retired the last 20 batters.

Looks like it was her first career no-hitter and the first NCAA Tournament no-hitter in program history.

Congrats!

Belmont lost in the elimination game, so we don't have to face Maya Johnson tomorrow

I am so grateful Alabama has a nationally relevant softball program.

Some of our fans trash the shite out of them anytime they don’t run rule their opponent.

That's shocking to me. Wonder if it includes the stadium renovation money. Everything I've seen shows that our softball operations budget is under $100k.

I don't think the operating budget includes major work on facilities. The numbers don't work. I would guess that it does include day-to-day maintenance.

I really can't imagine $100k even covering travel and lodging for one season unless they go everywhere by bus and stay in fleabag motels. I think they used to do that, and the smaller D1 programs likely still do. The Power 4 teams seem to live pretty well and fly for longer trips.

The numbers for the last few years (since 2023) that I'm seeing for Ole Miss are very much in line with most of the top programs. That's in the neighborhood $3.5 million a year for OM specifically, give or take around $100k difference in any given year.

OU outspends everyone by far at $7.7M for 2025. Florida State and Tennessee (and Clemson on one list I saw) have $5M+ budgets. But the rest of the top 20 all fall in the $2.9-3.95 million/year range on almost every list I saw, and OM is right in the middle of those.

I don't know any of this for sure. This is just from 15 or 20 minutes of looking around at articles and AI answers out of curiosity, but multiple sources all had similar numbers.

I think it might have been because I changed the title to just Sunday.

I will take it.

Beating them twice will be tough, but if you beat them once the pressure is all on them.

Probably because we don't have beisbol and therefore this is the only game in town today.

With that said I just noticed Oregon lost to *checks notes* St Mary's

Anytime Phil Knight U can lose is good regardless of the sport

A UGA player has silver eyeblack on. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of eyeblack?

"Silver eyes" just doesn't hit the way "silver britches" does.

Who knows though, maybe silver is better and everyone will be switching.
