But what if he was a new head coach AND he was wasted on wild turkey?

Does this mean Fulmer is now #2 on the snitch list and Dabo has moved to #1?

Pete drunk texting a signed player at 9am is pretty hilarious. Ole Miss needs to start interviewing coaches NOW.

Are they going to force Luke to go back to Clemson?

If not, then who cares.

No. They just want Ole Miss (as an institution) to be held accountable for the tampering. (Sanctions.)

I saw a fan of a neutral school make a good suggestion. Let him stay at Ole Miss, but make him ineligible for 2026.

Then he files a lawsuit against the NCAA for levying a punishment that did not exist in the rules at the time causing missed NIL, Ole Miss co-files, the NCAA loses another case in court and eats another few million in court fees.

It's a level 2 violation. Suspend the coach a game and reduce an official visitor count by 1 or 2 and move on.

You're likely right.

If the NCAA finds the Rebels guilty of contacting Ferrelli while he was enrolled at Clemson, that would likely result in a Level II recruiting violation for Ole Miss, per NCAA rules. If it's discovered that Ferrelli was offered money to leave the Tigers for the Rebels, as Swinney says he has proof, there's a chance Ole Miss could get hit with a more severe Level I violation.

Under a Level I designation relating to illegal benefits, NCAA rules determine that as a "cash payment or other benefits provided by a coach, administrator or representative of the institution's athletics interests intended to secure, or which resulted in, enrollment of a prospective student-athlete."

Since money was involved it is a Level 1, and wouldn't that make Ole Miss eligible for rePete offender? They were hit with 33 level 1 violations last time.

Kid was no longer in the portal when contacted by Pete and Pete knew this and still continued to contact him, at least twice and OFFER $

Normally I would say I don’t care about tampering, but after listening to all the ole Miss fans two weeks ago tampering was the worst thing on the world and anyone doing it should get the death penalty, they changed my mind

Ole Miss should be banned for 5 years

NCAA didn’t do anything to Michigan

May want to look that up:

Key Penalties & Sanctions
Financial Penalties: A $50,000 fine plus 10% of the football program's budget, plus penalties for lost postseason revenue, totaling potentially over $20 million.
Probation: Four years of NCAA probation for the university.
Recruiting Restrictions: A 25% reduction in official visits for the 2025-26 season and a 14-week ban on recruiting communications during the probation period.
Coach Sherrone Moore: An additional one-game suspension for the 2026 season opener, on top of self-imposed suspensions, plus a two-year show-cause order.
Staff Penalties: An eight-year show-cause for former staffer Connor Stalions and a 10-year show-cause for Jim Harbaugh (now in the NFL) for failing to cooperate.

As for the initial "I know your signed, what's they buyout" texts. They do have those.

Sorrells had asked Ferrelli to provide Clemson with the text messages from Golding, but Williams was hesitant to burn bridges with Ole Miss, as, according to Swinney, “you never know what will happen down the road.” Williams, however, allegedly tells Clemson that if the Tigers were to “add a second year at $1 million to the already agreed-upon NIL deal” he signed with Clemson, then Williams and Ferrelli’s camp would “gladly give (Clemson) whatever we need in order to turn Ole Miss in.” Sorrells declined this offer.

“This shouldn’t be a three-year or a three-month investigation. This might take three days,” he said. “(Ole Miss is) either gonna tell the truth or they’re gonna lie. … All you’ve gotta do is get the phone.” Why would they need the phone if he has ANY texts.

If the ncaa was ever going to do anything, to try and get back their power, this is the case. Ole miss isn't a blue blood but in the Sec so other schools will take notice when they hammer golden.

I still say they should make the kid ineligible for this coming season.

Sounds like Ole Miss might get some big sanctions if they are really taking this serious.
