Watching the Florida game. Just a question. Why did Florida bother building a new stadium if no one shows up? Stadium way more than half empty.

Student population at UF isn't into baseball. Its been like that for years.
When I was at UF 10 years ago, people just did not give a shite about baseball. Of course the old stadium sucked, and obviously COVID wrecked everything, but the administration (and the baseball program) was thinking that the new stadium, being more modern would help attendance.
It hasn't, and frankly the new stadium isn't as nice as everyone hyped it up to be.
