Pokes had no choice but to leave him in and see if he could work out of it because of a terrible coaching decision.
3B goes to pitcher. He inserts his DH to 3B. OSU has now lost their DH spot and the pitcher must hit or be pulled each time he comes up in the order on offense. 3B to P is also one of their best hitters. So, their coach let the kid go longer than normal because he was peckered.

They had several coaching blunders. Another was walking Wallace to pitch to a better average hitter in Michael Turner earlier in the game. Made no sense.
Also felt he pulled his All American pitcher extremely early as well.

I did too. We hit some solo shots but we weren't getting to him consistently. The team I think had a boost when he came out mentally.

Still can't believe USM lost that game last night.
All credit in the world to LSU - they fought back and refused to lose like a true baseball blueblood that's been there before would have. But that was an epic choke by the golden eagles.

Actually for Michigan, it's boring! We're not even playing up to our potential, we're down a pitcher for 1 more game, and yet we're just destroying the Lou-EE-Ville Regional bracket...hope we get better competition in the Supers, because our regional is a snoozefest!

Teams that are 2-0 and the favorites to advance to the Super Regionals.. underlined would make for an interesting CWS..

(8) East Carolina vs Texas
(4) Virginia Tech vs Oklahoma
(5) Aggies vs Michigan
(3) Oregon State vs Auburn
(6) Miami/Ole Miss vs LSU
Arkansas vs VCU ??

Meh. I could easily argue LSU choked just as badly having bases loaded and getting nobody home twice before that

True. But, and I don't mean to sound ignorant here, have there really been many bigger games in USM history at home like that? Against a team like LSU no less?

Not making any assumptions, but yep.
Thought it was a cold and finally got tested. It's like a cold that won't end. I shouldn't complain because so many people got really sick, but it is really annoying and zaps your energy.
