He is the perfect coach for Texas, just like Tom Herman but a FAR better human being. But still unproven and a coach that schools pay far too much money for with a short track record.

I dont think Texas has a chance to hire him. He is far, far, far too smart. He can stay at Kentucky for a decade easy at this point. Or have 2 bad years at Texas and be fired.

12:39 am. Just made the drive home from Blue Bell. Holy shite, that was fun.

I have no voice left, I need a damn shower from sweat, bubble soap, and beer. But it was worth every damn minute.

SEC in Omaha.

Bubbles at Blue Bell first started in 2015 as a dugout joke between infielder Patrick McLendon and pitcher Corbin Martin as a home run celebration.

And like is often is the case at our “weird” little slice of paradise, it evolved by the fans as a way to celebrate every run scored and became tradition.

They use to shoot pistols in the air in Texas whenever anything good happened. They decided that probably shouldn’t continue, so they had to come up with something else to show they were still rough, tough Texas men.

Bubbles. They chose bubbles.

Who we thinking tonight in Athens? Will it be 5 SEC teams and 3 ACC teams in Omaha? Or is it gonna be an even split?

Good question. I like our offense better and their bullpen better. Kolten Smith, the guy who got hammered on Saturday only threw 38 pitches so could likely throw an inning or two if needed. Also, Zeldin threw about 30 pitches yesterday so possibly could give us an inning today. Their bullpen is very rested.

UGA got much better as the season went on though. If I remember correctly Kentucky played GA very early.

NC ST still has 3 of their top pitchers available today so it will be tough.

Need 5 solid innings out of Zach Harris, then I think we go to Zeldin/Mracna/Smith to finish it off.

Getting the night game was huge. The first two games weren’t nearly as loud as the regional final, probably because of the noon heat.
