Who did we use this game? Didn't get to watch all of it.

DVH saving arms for tonight damn near backfired. Eaves 67 pitches and then our worst reliever with a near 7 ERA for final out. It worked out but good lord.

McGuire, Coil and Eaves. Saved McElvain

Mcguire, Coil, Eaves, Dossett

Realistically you could probably see McElvain for a couple innings and I guess maybe Gaeckle for a couple innings? Other than that, I honestly don’t know. Try and get an inning out of DeCremer? Lights looked awful bright for him last night.

Crashing out on what you thought was a bad call down 5-1 late in an elimination game would be pretty bad. Doing it as the best player on your team while up 5-1 in an elimination game is pure idiocy.
Is it that hard to have some awareness of the situation going into the at bat? That said, kid seemed to handle the aftermath pretty decently…that was a tough “perp walk” in front of the home crowd, home dugout, etc.

I guess we have Fisher too (God help us)
Maybe Gibler could throw 10-15 pitches?

I think he’s mad that he’s supposed to be the best hitter in the country and hadn’t done shite in this tournament

It gets even worse when you try to figure out who would pitch if a miracle happens and we win today. We simply could not afford to lose a game.

The Virginia pitcher was ejected after striking out a USM batter and then dropping two F bombs yesterday.
These guys need to learn some self control.

Yep. Absolutely had to go 3-0. And I let the SECT talk me into believing maybe we could actually do it.
But on the 5% chance we could actually battle back through the losers bracket, it was gonna require like 5 IP from McGuire, 2 from Dossett, and 2 from Kircher or something like that. A 10-9 nailbiter is gonna be the nail in the coffin.

That’s just what we do. That said, we rarely don’t produce fireworks even when it’s diarrhea in the bed. So here’s to tonight for starters

Official: Oklahoma will start LHP Cameron Johnson (6-1, 4.02) in tonight’s regional final against No. 2 Georgia Tech
Huge spot for Johnson against the best offense in the country

Nah, they were playing the home team in the regional. I stated it correctly. If they were playing one of the other 2 visiting teams, it wouldn’t have been as bad.

Good luck with that.
Sorry, but GT has gotta be the favorite to win it all at this point.
