re: Star Trek SNW: The Puppet Episode Finally Dropped. What a hot mess

The only thing I could come up with that didn’t suck in this episode was the female alien captain had a sexy voice
frick Sankey. First he puts football at a competitive disadvantage going to a 9 game conference schedule and saying one of the OOC games has to be a power 4 team, now he’s politicking against one of his own schools. Dude sucks.
One of my favorite things about the return of football season.

When South Carolina fans post the we comin gif of all the roosters running. I giggle like a girl every-time I see it.
I saw a snake (cottonmouth) when I was 2 and ran in the house and said it bit me. My dad verified the snake in the yard. They rushed me to the hospital. Zero puncture wounds. Apparently I was a lying a-hole as a toddler.
My nephew dropped out of LSU after a year and caught on with a company that contracted for Entergy (knew a guy). He now works for Entergy. 23 and just bought his first house. He does work off a lot. I think he spent 3 weeks in Mississippi after a round of tornados. He missed our family vacation this summer because he had to travel somewhere.

This is why I’m glad my wife does what she does (wish she made more). She is a medical insurance guru, probably one of the best in the State. She can pick apart a EOB or a bill and know exactly what is bullshite and what isn’t. She’s privy to the contracts the providers sign with multiple facilities. I will say out of network anesthesiologist is so fricking common it’s ridiculous. Those guys and gals are traveling Mercs. I think the biggest group that works LC is based in BR. Seems like they are out of network 90% of the time regardless of provider.
This thread is fricking useless. 3 pages of arguing about Jay Wright’s probation.

Amusing an LSU fan started this thread and brought up basketball rather than the most obvious example of envy in college sports which is LSU of Bama
To be fair we’ve been to the mountaintop in football 3 times in the past 23 years. We are basement dwellers in basketball with zero Nattys in the modern era. Every other SEC program not named Bama or UGA would take our football success in that time period and not think twice about it.

Very intriguing matchup.
Right. I was thinking about that when I made the thread and he was the only modern example I could think of.

That would be a good read. Would be cool if each school had something like that. I know LSU’s starting fullback then was Japanese American and signed up and was put in the 242 an all Japanese unit that fought in Italy. Supposedly extremely brutal fighting they saw.

I’m pretty sure the 3 I named all enlisted.

Imagine Jayden Daniels, Lane Kiffin, or timothee chalamet going to war now. We would be fricked
That’s the point I’m trying to make. You wouldn’t see famous people today doing what these guys did. Bear Bryant was driving to interview for the head coaching job at Arkansas when the attack of Pearl Harbor came on over the radio. He turned around drove back to Nashville and enlisted in the Navy.

You’re amazed that Americans served during two major World Wars against clearly awful enemies? Why is that amazing?
Not surprised. I’m just thinking about if that happened today you wouldn’t see these highly successful professionals signing up to fight. Just a different time.

Watching the SEC documentary. Several people said Jordan as a man was made of hardened steel. A literal badass.

You guys hate on Nussmeier, but he has the stats. Here is where he ranks in LSU history.
I don’t hate on him but his stats didn’t really account for win totals. I think the other guys had better overall careers with wins and losses figured in.

Bryant, Neyland, Jordan etc. Hell Neyland served in WWI also. I’m sure there were more and countless great players that served. Dudes just made different back then.
I hate to say this as a LSU fan but Tulane had a very underrated uniform. Looks great on TV.
