My proposal:

Texas, Oklahoma, TAMU, and Missouri stay out/leave the conference.

We’ve had the hardest schedule in the sec since the start. Why stop now.

This is a really interesting way to visually lay out the scheduling matrix. Thank you for sharing.

I’m no Auburn fan so frick Auburn. But I would think Auburn’s traditional rival beyond Alabama and Georgia is Florida. That’s the game most of my Auburn friends have said they missed the most since the initial expansion in 1992.

I am glad Ala wants Tn lol
It just wouldn’t be the same if we didn’t play every year.
But I sort of want to keep Kentucky lol

You’ll never make everyone happy. Hell, you can’t even make all LSU fans happy if we handpicked our 3 because we can’t agree on our top rivals. We have like 6 semi-rivals and we are everyone else’s semi-rival except Ole Miss and A&M who would probably include us in their top 2.

It is absurdly unfair to give Auburn those three perms. I am no AU fan, but that would stink bigtime, IMO.

Freeze would definitely have a relapse with the hookers with that schedule

I think most Auburn fans would be cool if the third perm were Florida. But if not the Gators, give us Vandy or MSU.

Would actually love this

Play neutral and have 50 / 50 seating

Watch the mustard bottles and dildos fly back and forth

Tennessee has played Kentucky 118 times...more than any other opponent (Vandy is #2 at 117). I don't see UT not having Kentucky as a permanent opponent.

Tennessee's top opponents historically are:

Kentucky - 118 games
Vanderbilt - 117 games
Alabama - 107 games

4th place is Ole Miss at 66 games. They haven't played any other team more than 55 times.

Alabama's top three opponents historically are (3rd and 4th tied):

Miss St - 108 games
Tennessee - 107 games
Auburn - 87 games
LSU - 87 games

They've only played Ole Miss 70 times in their history.

I don't think that it should be THE deciding factor...but series history should play into it. I don't see any way that you lose the annual Tennessee/Kentucky border war. Suggesting Tennessee/Missouri as a permanent cross division game makes very little sense, other than it is a filler to make the schedule format fit.

For OU the list of Perms is fine

my priorities are

1 Texas
2 Arkansas
3 aggie OR missouri

For the rotation:

I think it would make more sense to get 3 "new" opponents rather than 6 on 6 off. So every year you play

-3 perms
-3 of the rotating teams 2nd year in a row
-3 new rotating teams

so the rotation would be 2 on (home and home) and 2 off, rather than on / off every year. Coaches dont have to prepare for 6 new teams every year, get a change at some immediate revenge games ect...
