then shouldn't it be ok for us to bring up missed FG's and total yards from Nov. 5?

Until LSU beat Alabama I never knew just attempting a field goal = offensive excellence. So what if it was obvious from the first kick it wasn't going to be that guy's night. And so what if Alabama's play calling in overtime was borderline retarded. No,they missed a field goal so just lining up for a field goal = should have won.

Jeeze. Didn't it take him out of the game? If you want to see real drama, watch PP's miracle leg cramps in 2009 when LSU was out of timeouts.

Get the frick out. Without those cramps Julio doesn't make that long TD. There was no faking that shite.

While undoing his chin strap? Right after that, his right arm moves a little as he walks but that couldn't possibly indicate anything. Not chest, head, or anything. What are you seeing?
he and Miles both talked about it after the game. It's a technique they teach for when the gunner beats the blocker long... you give him a nice hit in the chest and it slows the gunner down and/or knocks him off balance. But Matthieu got beat a little too badly by Dre, and was too far behind when trying to utilize the technique... and that's why it looked so bad and why he ended up holding him and twisting him around.

I think they were jawing and playing hard. I don't think there was anything thug about TM7 play. It's football - its a contact sport. I'm looking forward to the rematch.

That is not what he tried to do, and his arm never contacted his head.

How the hell would you know this? You don't unless you're Tyrann.

If you're not Tyrann please don't come here and tell us that you know what he was "trying" to do.

I don't think Honey Badger is a THUG. I don't think he's dirty. I don't think he should've been tossed. He and Dre were jawing all night and he just took it too far. He deserved a personal foul (which he didn't get) and then it's over as far as I'm concerned. Not that big of a deal.

ha you stupid, wanting a personal foul for a hold

People just cant understand. He swung his arm into his shoulder to try to keep Dre from getting inside of him. If TM7 would've been just half a foot more to the right of Dre it would've been a totally legal move and no flag would've been thrown. I wish people would quit blowing this shite out of proportion.

So reaching around and "punching" (i.e. hitting) the chest (i.e. front) of a player is legal. It is a trained technique. It was called a hold because TM grabbed the shoulder. If he hadn't, it would not have been called.

Yup. He was trying to turn Kirkpatrick. If your guy gets behind you on that play, the counter is no longer to try to block because you'll draw a block in the back. The counter then is to try to redirect your man. When the body's moving like that, it's going to want to run where the torso and head are pointing, so Mathieu was trying to turn his upper body and redirect him. Unfortunately, at the end, his technique faltered and application of force to turn the body became a grab because of poor positioning, and that's a hold.

EDIT: Last sentence was originally "Unfortunately, at the end, his technique faltered and application of force to turn the body became grab the jersey, and that's a hold."
