Congrats on the hire and excitement, but this post certainly has familiar vibes.

This guy's magnetism and mentality are no different that Cam's. Both are once in a generation players and we'll have had them in Orange in Blue in a span of four years. I love every second of it, and they see what's happening and can't do anything about it.
When you treat your players as family members and they play for you out of respect and admiration, things like 28-27 happen. When you have players that fear their coach, see rampant gray-shirting, bogus medical departures and wonder if they will have their scholarship the following year, things like a 24-0 complete meltdown implosion against your hated rival happen. It all starts at the top and CGC will go down as a legendary coach in college football history, not just Auburn history, Book It.
I tell all of the Bammers without hesitation that CGC will win more national championships at Auburn than Satan will at UTea. If you hook me up to a polygraph while saying it, I would pass because that's how much I believe it to be true. The perception of Auburn Football in-state and on a national level is changing. September 1st is about to open the country's eyes as to what tenacious Auburn football is all about, and I can't wait to watch the look on little dabo's face. These are great times to be an Auburn Tiger. A dynasty is in the making, and if you don't see it, you don't have a clue. War Damn Chizik and War Damn Eagle.

"Hope springs eternal." So it mostly means you are alive and have a reasonable amount of mental activity. He's supposed to be a disciple of Heupel, but in the 2 seasons we've played USF, he didn't really remind me of Tennessee's bomb away approach.
Same Go-Go offense, puts a ton on the QB for the running game, and a decent defense, but not a great recruiter. That may change, cause it better.

Wasn't he the same HC that had Alabana on the ropes before losing the game at the end?

He is currently trending for a Top 10 class at a program that has been a coaching turnstile since 2020 with 5 straight losing seasons. Thats pretty remarkable if you ask me.

Any Florida fan predicting 10-2 is an idiot sunshine pumper. Agree on Auburn and UF. Both have shown they are terrible programs in the post-modern era.

And now the core of his team are the players he brought from USF.
The match-up with Florida's new coach in week three will be very revealing about both programs.
A successful year for Golesh would be 8-4.
From his speech, it sounds like he has a four year plan in place. Not expecting a first year miracle run.

Why is there a perception a team that has one title in 60 years almost.. should have “already” won several titles, just in the last few years?
Maybe that’s just who they are. Just because you have access to more money, does not make you rich. A lambo in the driveway screams I need attention away from my drowning.
UT is who they are. A decent program with a big brand, that will rarely if ever win a title in football, baseball or basketball. And most of the time, they will rarely get close.
Proverbs 13:7: "One pretends to be rich, but has nothing; another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth."

Phil Steele is making the rounds. I've already seen him on three podcasts. He keeps referencing how impressed he is with Golesh, based on a conversation he had with him.

Auburn has never had a Mark Richt.
Mark Richt had nine double digit win seasons in 15 seasons at Georgia. Richt had 10 or more wins 60% of the time. Pat Dye had four double digit win seasons in 12 seasons Auburn. Dye had 10 or more wins 33% of the time.
Three separate times Richt had back to back 10+ win seasons, including a four year streak. Pat Dye had back to back 10 win seasons once, the only time that has ever happened at Auburn.
Mark Richt won 74% of his games at Georgia, Pat Dye won 72% of his games at Auburn.
Auburn has never had a coach as successful as the guy you are trying to throw shade at.
Even Sarkisian has accomplished something no Auburn coach has ever done, had 10 or more wins three seasons in a row.

I’m cautiously optimistic as well but I have been impressed with everything so far. His talk about how disappointed he was with our offensive line in the spring gave me hope.

Then y'all loved the good old Family & Faith shtick Freeze brought. You craved his offensive system, loved that he retained Cadillac Williams, were star struck with his recruiting.

I think Golesh will be better than recent Auburn coaches, like his offense. You’re probably a bit bullish on them this year though. He needs to recruit/portal well for another 2 years. We will see where it lands.

I've heard nothing but good things from the one person I know connected to the program. Said he's nothing like Freeze in that he stays and talks to the fans and whoever comes to hear him speak. Freeze had an exit plan to leave as soon as he was done talking. Golesh sounded confused when he was asked about his exit strategy and that he didn't have one but to stay and talk with everyone and leave when it was done. I don't know if he'll be a great coach or not but he's at least doing the right things before the season to get people on board.
