I couldn’t be happier with AG from what I’ve heard out of him so far.

I know talk is cheap but this guy has the absolute best mindset of any Auburn head ball coach since Pat Dye.

I feel like with his mindset, intelligence, confidence, attention to every little detail and pure DOG in him we will no longer give up big leads, do stupid stuff, etc.

I could not be more excited about the future.

My prediction for the season:

We go 10-2 and BARELY lose to Georgia and Bama.

Odds are HIGH we win us another Natty in the next 5 years.

WAR DAMN!!!!

Let's just hope he does better than Sark.

When Sark showed up in Austin I was actually happy to have a coach that could deliver a cerebral press conference for the first time since I had been a fan even though I was still skeptical on the hire. I was used to John Mackovic who was just an unlikable piece of crap then we got "fighting our guts out, scares you to death" aw shucks BS from Mack Brown. I wouldn't stand either of Strong or Herman's pressers for various reasons.

Then all the sudden he loses to Ohio State and goes off the deep end and goes cuckoo for cocoa puffs and starts talking about following men into the restroom at SEC media days last year.

Sark is so overrated and is not the right guy in Austin IMHO

No reason he should not have already won a Natty there

Sark is Mark Richt, just not nearly as intelligent and humble as him

Just my thoughts on him

Not sure how you can say Sark
isn’t the guy when all they’ve done is win 10+ games with him. Look back at how irrelevant they were between him and Mack Brown. They will be really good this year.

Now that is what I call unbridled optimism! However it could also be labeled irrational optimism.

A 10-2 season would likely put you in the playoffs. That's a pretty big jump from the mediocrity and worse that you've endured.

I for one think he will end up being the best coach/biggest impact from the latest coaching cycle.

Eesh! This is one of the biggest problems with fandom; this blind pollyanna homerism.

Golesh has accomplished nothing at Auburn. He has said the generic things and been hired by the same guy that kept Freezus around two seasons too long.

He may end up okay, or great. But he just as well may end up being the worst of a series of bad hires. Until he proves himself, the impression of him should be hopeful but also skeptical. On a scale of attractiveness for coaches he's a 5, let's hope the right haircut and a little makeup can get him to at least a 7.

It's a reference to the children's book Pollyanna from the early 1900's. Pollyanna is an optimistic little girl who always looks on the bright side of everything. Over time, the name Pollyanna has come to refer to a person who is excessively optimistic rather than realistic.

Every team except for Arkansas and Miss State is predicting 10-2

In reality, Florida and Auburn will be lucky to break .500 with their new coaches this year.
