The past is the only thing holding Muschamp back. Many of you may be to young to know this but there was a time he was on a short list as someone I thought was going to be future coach at LSU. He has great pedigree and great knowledge. I think if there is not some other obvious choice that he would be worth a shot. Especially if he brought in a talented staff. It is good when Auburn is good in the SEC.

Give me UGA's roster and you could say that about 1/2 the knuckleheads posting on this site...
Exactly. He inherits one of the most talented defenses in college football w/ a defensive guy as head coach and idiots believe this. 100% failure as head coach. I would give him a try as DC w/ a short leash though. Hugh Freeze HC, Muschump as DC might work.

He could come as a DC. Not as a HC.

Not saying it's true...but if it is, only because Smart, Pruitt, and Venables no longer occupy that position.

Muschamp is good people. He travels to the local booster clubs to promote the school he’s working for. He’s a fiery coach that gets his players ready to play…when he’s a DC. There’s ZERO chance he will be HC at Auburn. That ship has sailed

Same, I actually did a little research to make sure he was still alive!

Yes, he looks very unhealthy but that dude could coach. IN 2007 he dam near beat Mizzou, who ended up finishing the regular season at number one only to lose to OU in the conference title game. Kansas finished 12-1 I think and with a win over Mizzou probably plays Ohio st. for the national title.

Honestly I’m not sure who’s a worse coach. Auburn is utter garbage this year and looks like it won’t be changing

Tom Herman but I'd rather him go to Mizzou

Anyone but Petrino. Guess i had rather him be at Auburn and not Missouri. Would only get him every other year.

God I hope this happens.
