Complete garbage. Watched them last night in Biloxi... got smoked by Southeastern La. Pitching was awful, bats were awful. Their only runs came on bad hop infield hits and a weird double play being called safe.

what pitch are they hot taking? is it specific to a count or a breaking ball that can't seem to find the zone or 3-1 pitches. whats going on

Winning 2 out of 3 would be a great first weekend for Vandy. A little concerned about 16 true freshmen playing their first SEC series on the road at State.

Not sure of your exact question but our starting pitcher couldn't keep it out of the dirt and got rocked when he did.

Southeastern is a good baseball team and program. They've made the NCAAT 3 of the last 4 years and the last 2. They were also the only non-P5 at large bid last season. State is a mess right now but losing to Southestern isn't a bad loss, especially in the midweek

I honestly don't draw anything from midweek losses. Last year, LSU lost twice to UNO, twice to Tulane, and once to McNeese. UNO went 30-28-1, Tulane went 27-31, and McNeese went 37-20. None of those teams made the NCAAT. LSU ended up the #4 overall seed in the tournament. They, quite simply, don't matter. All that matters is handling your business on the weekends and, more importantly, during conference play. You do those two things, you will be fine.
