MSU at A&M predictions

I find this matchup interesting. A&M has no offense either except Spiller but our run D is very good. If we can not make stupid mistakes I can see us winning this one. Probably be a 17-14 type of game either way it goes

They have probably lost hope or will try to get the pass going. Both would benefit state.

The problem is that A&M can be ran on but Leach doesn't run the ball.

The Pirate was 7-3 vs A&M while at Texas Tech..
Lost the first game, then went 7-1 over the next 8.

Yes and I’m not sure on their status.

A&M 31 & State 24
A&M scores one TD on fumbled KO return and another on a pick six. They have one drive over 30 yards all game that results in a TD and still score 31.
State moves the ball up and down the field but keeps doing stupid stuff until the 4th qtr when they get 3 garbage TD's in 8 minutes to lose by 7.
That's my prediction.

State has a very good front 7 and if their injured corner is ok, a decent secondary.
The aTm defense is extremely stout against the run (supposedly) but who’s weakness is their secondary. It could be a convergences of MSU’s strength pairing up directly with aTm’s weaknesses on their own offensive side of the ball and strength on strength when they are on defense.

Depth in the secondary for A&M will be a big part of this. If they cant cover 4 wide all game in dime, and instead tries to run nickle and keep a LB on the field, they are going to get abused. Their LB core is struggling against the pass and Leech will gladly "Mesh" them to death with shallow crossing routes all day.
I am not expecting A&M to score more than 21. So the real question is can MSU score 22 on the A&M D? Right now I am leaning towards yes.
With Leech, and his absolute hate for A&M, MSU needing this way more than A&M and how poorly A&M is on O with their OL and QB injuries, I will go with the MSU straight up this week.

I’d like to see us try and establish the run and work in some play action throughout the game. Absolutely ridiculous that Spiller didn’t touch the ball again after breaking off a huge TD run
