but they were both very good recruiters as college position coaches.

This hire would be an extreme gamble for a program that’s had the best 15 tear run in their history... seems unnecessary.

Kinda like hiring Matt Luke, All Ole Miss. He loved Ole Miss and then you fired him! He really loves the multi-millions you gave him.

Even worse, he was working under Bobby Williams. In that era we were awful at actual special teams (coverage stuff).

I'm sure he's a smart football guy, but the lack of any substantial time in the college game combined with youth would make me nervous.

But hey, sometimes you gotta take a risk I guess.

Odd the New York Giants interviewed for him today for their HC position.

Odd that he didn't get it. Wonder why? Maybe the owner and GM are stupid arse people and they gave a courtesy interview.

But he wasn't or they would have hired him

Based on what? It's an unknown.

You think this kid isn't going to make huge errors to learn to be a hc. That's friggin hilarious.

We heard the same thing about Pittman. Look at his staff.

Not really sure where you’re going with this. Are you pointing out that it’s a horrible idea and you’ll be paying him millions in a few years to leave?

I wasn’t going there but you said it.

Pittman is a career college guy. He has built relationships in the college game. Judge doesn't resemble that in any form or fashion.

Pittman and Judge are not even comparable. Judge has made his name slobbering on a Bellidick. Pittman is known by almost every high school and college coach in the nation.
