It's been 6 years but Manti Te'O. All the slobnobbers were shouting Heisman Heisman and he actually came in 2nd Place.

We all know that he wasn't even close to one of the 5 best LB's in CFB that year, let along the 2nd best player in the country.

Robert Nkemdiche

He lived off of his 5* star rankings all the way up to the draft. Hardly did anything in college (outside of a few plays like vs Bama) and has done even less in the NFL. Yet somehow he was earning All-SEC and some All-American honors and was a 1st round pick.

You didn't have anyone good enough to be overrated.

Minkah Fitzpatrick?

I didnt think he was the best defensive player this year. Definitely not better than Roquan.

Sure, you can argue, its your opinion. But here are some of the guys who were also playing in at the same time:
Jarvis Jones, Alec Olgetree, Kevin Minter, Kiko Alonso, John Bostic, Khalil Mack, Ryan Shazier, CJ Mosely.

Him winning it is kind of making my point. His reputation was built off fluke plays. If that one play at the end of the 2012 Bama game goes any differently, yo'd have never heard anything about this guy.

Teo was a stud in college. Overrated, maybe. Most overrated in the last 5 years, no chance.

Can it be an overrated team? Tennessee. The past 3 years y'all have been projected in the preseason to be the chosen ones and you suck every year

I mean, he's a starting linebacker in the NFL now. I'd like to think that combined with his college statistics would solidify him as not overrated, even in the slightest.
