It made me think, why did the committee pick Ohio state over Alabama?

Ohio State lost fewer games the Alabama. Seems easy to me why Ohio State got in this year over bama. If Bama would have had same amount of losses than Ohio State, Bama would be in.

Depends who wins more big games or who draws in more views, both are close and elite in both areas but each school has an advantage in one of the two categories over the other. So pick your poison

Ohio State only had 1 loss. It's funny how everyone talks SOS. When SEC teams play FCS schools the second to last game of the regular season. Is it because Austin P. Is such a powerhouse? ??????

UGA has beaten Alabama twice since 2007 (when Coach Saban started.)

Congrats on your once in a decade victory......

Things have changed since the NIL era

Bama has lost to Georgia, Tenn, Brian Kelly

Bama has won 0 titles and Georgia has a chance to win back to back

Bama missed the playoffs this year and failed to make it to Atlanta where a certain beatdown front wheel dawgs would have occurred

If Bama was still relevant we’d be able to play y’all more than once this decade to give you additional beatings

This is the NIL era; the present and future

Beat your chest about the past all you want

With Nick slipping and retiring soon, the future of Bama football is looking grim

This is the beginning of the Dawg Dynasty

You Bama fans can all jump on the bandwagon now to save face

Whether OSU or Alabama there will always be debate.... Both have had legendary coaches throughout their history and numerous Heisman winners and championships......... I'd say 1A and 1B. The one big difference to me is that OSU has been consistently very good for the last 75 years (Don't know before 1947) with I believe only 1 losing season, 4-6 under John Cooper in the late 1980's, I believe. Alabama had some really down years, especially in the 1990's.

Ah Child,

Laughing at YOU......

You know how many times Alabama fans have heard the same thing over the decades?

(By the way, check out recruiting rankings in the NIL era)

Honestly Alabama plays in the tougher conference. 5 of the top 13 schools in wins are founding members of the SEC (and Alabama has a winning record over all of them.)

Yes that is the main indicator of success

Texas 5&7 had the best class ever in the nil era and have won just as many national titles as Bama has in this nil era

2020 is looking like the new 1939

The Big 10 and Notre Dame have historically always gotten the benefit of the doubt regarding sports team.

Check out how many BIG 10 teams get into NCAA Tournament. 80% usually get bounced out first round.. but that doesn't change a thing.

Perhaps consistently good but OSU went 3 decades w/out a NC in the modern era
(70's,80's,90's) Alabama won 3 in the same period and we know what Bama has done in the 2000's.

Not much of a comparison IMO

I would just like to say that this dumb frick does not speak for nor represent the majority of the UGA fanbase, whether on here or anywhere else.

It’s about TV audience. They want the Big 10 people to watch the playoffs. Alabama has been in the playoffs constantly and there is still another SEC team going.

To answer the original question, though, Bama is a bigger grand than OSU nationally.
