What a cluster. If you aren't able to actually host the super, then you shouldn't be allowed a national seed.
Or at least get paired up with what would be viewed as the 9th seed(if they seeded 1-16, like softball).

The way they screwed up some seeding and allowed for the stupid Lake Elsewhere or whatever regional, I am sure there was a fair share of ignorance on that committee.

You guys do understand theirs another 6000 seat park 10 miles south of SGF?
I doubt it's being used I don't know what they play there now.

I've driven past that park recently and would be shocked if they decided to play there.
MSU deserved a national seed so surely they've studied and addressed this super regional issue.
Maybe the AA Cards have decided to adjust their start times to accommodate the Super.

Missouri currently has 2 first place MLB teams to focus on until football starts.
What's all the fuss about kids that can't make it in the pro leagues playing? I don't get it, you guys like to watch the D leagues instead of good ball?

Nobody Gives a frick Board
And as far as host sites are concerned, the NCAA let a school host in Gary, Indiana a few years ago. You could hear sirens in the background for most of the night games and they were giving "safety" tips to UK and Kent State fans as they are leaving their middle of the night 20+ inning game.
The NCAA is all out of fricks to give over teams hosting if it doesn't involve giving another SEC team a site. Then it's "oh no! We have too many south sites!".

Why do you watch Any college sports?
Astros are in first too. It's not hard to keep up with both. You just sound lazy and packed full of sour grapes.

Why the frick are people always trying to tell us why we shouldn't like college baseball? If you don't watch it or don't care, good for fricking you. You aren't special.

Even more so, why are people going out of their way to click on threads clearly titled about a subject they state they care nothing about and then posting about them.
Sour grapes it is.

There arent any ballparks within a 2 hours drive that could host the super?
Posted on 5/26/15 at 8:04 am to Ridgewalker
You do know that trend has shifted and now there are more American born players in MLB who played college then those who came straight out of high school right? I figured somebody from a great MLB area like Missouri would at least be somewhat aware of the makeup of league.

That stadium is a dump. They definitely aren't hosting a super regional there.

The Springfield Cardinals have a home stand next weekend and Missouri State plays in their stadium.
Having a minor league team in your town outweighs any cool factor of hosting a college game of any sort. Thirsty Thusrdays FTW

The Hogs definitely seem to have a favorable draw

Fayetteville is about 2 hours that was the OP's point. Sad for the Bears they are the real power in college baseball in Missouri and have been for decades. Remember about 10 years ago or so when they made the College World Series. Had some good players on that team; Howard, Marcum & Ziegler come to mind.

Idiot, just plain idiot.
Matt Carpenter? Went to college
Kolten Wong? Went to college
Matt Adams? Went to college
Michael Wacha? Went to college
Lance Lynn? Went to college
Just some of your St. Louis Cardinals, who...WERE IN COLLEGE before they went pro.
17 of the 27 first round picks last year were...chosen out of college.

Not counting fayetteville. Surely there are places they can play these games.

There aren't any other diamonds in Springfield? Sure they can't play in their stadium, but I'm fairly certain they can find somewhere to host.
Also, college baseball, no care.

Rofl
2008 Cy Young winner Cliff Lee
Astros ace Dallas Keuchel(6-1 1.98 era)
Dodgers young gun Mike Bolsinger(3-0, 0.71 era)
Tigers catcher James McCann
All laugh at your comment...those are just off the top of my head from Arkansas...now look up other SEC programs contributions to MLB lately
