Not counting fayetteville. Surely there are places they can play these games.
If Missouri State had a contingency plan, I'm sure we would have heard about it by now. In fact, the NCAA requires teams to submit bids to host regionals and super regionals several weeks in advance of the host site announcement. That's when MSU would had to have made arrangements.

I suspect that MSU and the minor league team agreed a long time ago that the minor league team would not play at home the week of the regionals (MSU thinking there was a chance they might host a regional), but that they were not willing to schedule road trips two weekends in a row just on the odd possibility that this might occur (no one would have predicted it before the season).

When there are upsets, and you end up with two teams in the super regional, neither of which submitted bids to host, you will see some creative last minute logistics work. But, if OSU wins their regional, having already submitted a bid to host the super (and MSU not having submitted such a bid), it's a done deal that the super would be played in Stillwater. Arkansas would have submitted a bid to host and would be in the same position as OSU.

Off the top of my head, the next closest facility capable of hosting would be Arvest Ballpark in Springdale, AR. There are a couple of smart school within in an hours drive that could in theory have decent facilities. You have Missouri Southern in Joplin and Southwest Baptist in Bolivar. However, I doubt that they do. I seem to remember SBU's being pretty small last time I was up there.

If they moved it to another state i doubt it would be to the state of arkansas. Maybe Tulsa. Seems the drillers are at home too but i dont know if Tulsa has multiple options. Where does University of Tulsa play?

I'm sure they dont want to play in Arkansas against Arkansas. That seems like a last resort.

We have 2 pro teams, and multiple minor league/independent league teams. Higher quality product. Not enough fans to go around. college baseball takes a back seat to the MLB here.

I think we may be talking about the same person, and if it is then that guy knows what he is talking about.

I agree as well. They could always use it if Okie State or ORU wins the Regional but yeah I wouldn't want to play there if Arkansas wins.

There is the old minor league park in Ozark that SMS mentioned but it is so run down now. I just can't imagine they would use it. It's such a dump these days.

Yeah I'm failing to understand the point of "we have x pro team - this is why we don't care about college"

When in reality it's because the college team just stinks.

the Bears they are the real power in college baseball in Missouri and have been for decades. Remember about 10 years ago or so when they made the College World Series. Had some good players on that team; Howard, Marcum & Ziegler come to mind.

Coach Guttin is a quality guy. He's been there for quite some time and has built a strong program. They have excellent game and practice facilities there at Hammons. Their locker room is actually nicer than the AA Cardinals.

Wish I could of seen Ryan Howard when he was playing for coach Guttin.

college baseball, just college baseball takes the back seat in Missouri sports.

I cant stand watching college baseball. Compared to MLB its the biggest difference in major sports.

I had watched 0 college baseball till about 2 weeks ago. I think its because I got so use to seeing MLB that even the pitches seem slow and easy to read.

As mizslu said, it is just for college baseball. As a whole, college baseball isn't as important to the pros as say college football is to the NFL or college basketball to the NBA.

I personally am a college sports guy, with the exception of baseball.

But I would argue that the Chiefs and the Rams are part of the reason we don't sell out more than we do in football.
