I honestly have no problem with state.
All my best friends from HS went to state. Feel like most Ole Miss fans would be open to it cause we all just really want to win.
Uniting the state behind one team would create a juggernaut.

No you wouldn't, schools would be fricking with your recruiting and your team in a different way. Your one school would be better, but hardly dominant in all three sports.

Can you imagine if we only had one major university like Louisiana or Arkansas. Arkansas does a good job racking up National Championships because of this. I am constantly amazed at how much LSU underperforms. How can they not have a NC in football or basketball once every 5 years? I will never understand it.

Just read up on this... It looks like more than anything else Bilbo was bound and determined to get the University of Mississippi moved to Jackson.
He almost sunk Ole Miss and caused so many problems that they lost their accreditation for a while.
