Asking bc I don’t know, but if Schmidt went to Juco and sucked would scouts look past that or would they hold it against him? If he went to LSU and sucked they could atleast say “well it’s the SEC”

I never said they were going to negotiate it down. But if they have to pay they have to pay. Might as well let OM announce to the college football world they will sue players.

So if I’m a recruit or transfer why am I signing anything with OM? If I’m signed it doesn’t stop other offers from coming in, but I also know if I’m signed and a better deal comes along then they will sue me.

It says “we want you to publicly come out and say you are willing to sue someone bc they decided they wanted to play elsewhere”.
It’s easier imo for LSU to defend this to a transfer or recruit by saying “we told them we were going to pay it, we just wanted Ole Miss to publicly say they were willing to sue players”
Now it’s a given. Think long and hard before you sign with Ole Miss.

So LSU gets to publicly back their players while Ole Miss is publicly suing players…how does Ole Miss win here? If other schools have paid buyouts then what is the real outcome here if Ole Miss gets their money? Maybe I’m missing something.
