Reading that stirs up some old repressed emotions. I’m sorry for your loss.

I lost my father this past year. He suffered hypoxia due to a lack of oxygen, and that was only briefly, as a result of his cancer.

This resulted in him having brain damage. He passed about a month later.

It's an awful, awful thing to both witness and contend with the aftermath. The reports that have been floating around are extremely discouraging. I feel deeply for his family -- people who have dealt with such occurrences understand the severity of it.

I pray for Mr. Leach and his family. He has remained one of my favorite college coaches ever. Such a unique individual; the memory retention of the man to draw upon a litany of obscure facts and miscellaneous resulted in comments that were often insightful, poignant, and thoroughly hilarious.

Godspeed to him, wherever his path may take him. He has certainly left his mark in ways that few of us will ever match.

When Mike Leach was on Sirius it was, I think, the finest sports show around. I also drove a hell of a lot for work so I’m certain I e heard you.

I promise if he heard your call in name he’d remember you.

With all due respect, you don't know it for a fact. None of us do on this site.

Damn Doc, you are one step ahead of me.
But all of the stories here put things in perspective...I think I'll take my dogs for a walk today.

I just walked by the CCU at UMMC and they still have more security than usual hanging around. I don’t know if that means anything or not but hopefully it’s a good sign.

Bill Snyder tweeted that and them retracted his tweet last night. Is that what you are referring to?

Sad to hear that. He had a great run and that is all that any of us can ask for. My condolences to his family and friends.
