Bowtie was 100% sick of UT, primarily for two reasons...
One was disproportionate conference revenue sharing, and two was the LHN and the diminished rights package and leverage that A&M had. Not to mention its desire to run high school games that would give it a massive recruiting advantage.

Here's the reality...
TCU is a little scrappy school. An overachiever. Odds stacked against them. We know this.
Meanwhile, UT is about to get spit roasted as they take it from both ends, while another takes your lunch money and another bangs your sister.

TCU has had just as many undefeated regular seasons as UT since 2000. And they don't wreck conferences or expect preferential treatment.
