Exactly what did he do besides bring Smart his coffee and wash his car.

2021 he helped with film, gameplanning, recruiting, player development.

2022, he was co-defensive coordinator and coached safeties (Christopher Smith AP First Team All American. Malaki Starks Freshman All American).

This isn't a Butch Jones situation. Boom is actually a very well respected defensive coordinator.
After putting 8 defenders into the NFL for 2022, UGA led the conference in ppg allowed (14.3) and total defense (296.7 ypg allowed)

Actually we lost the game because of the D coordinator that just turned you guys down and therefore you had to go with your 4th option.

Not surprising. I may be mistaken but hasn't Kirby, Will and Mike remained close friends for years no matter where they coached?
With the talent Kirby currently has in Athens all should be well. Although Bobo did catch heat in 2013-2014 as the OC from the dawg fan base.

(A) They are both OCs so they didn't go against each other

(B) Nuss tried his best to lose that game until Saban put a boot in his arse at halftime and told to run the damn ball

but nobody wanted anywhere near him at AU and SC.
he was adamant if not damn near threatening to USC fans that his oft-injured/2 ACLs grad transfer QB Colin Hill was gonna start over more talent and SEC experience already on Carolina's roster. it was absolutely clear within 2 games Hill was a statue and took way too long to get the ball out behind an OL that needed either a quick release QB or mobile QB. Mushcamp was more than complicit in the decision to start Hill until he was canned mid-season. Bobo started Hill the rest of the way too. that's why Gamecock had no use for Bobo.

Bobo would've been the OC in Beamer's first season had he not overplayed his hand leveraging Auburn's OC job/$$$ to his well-compensated job at USC. Beamer thanked him and wished him well as Harsin's OC.

Bobo single-handedly cost UGA the 2014 game at Carolina.

Yeah. Scoring 35 points with 2 missed field goals is a loss on the offensive coordinator.

The rain delay (night crowd) had more of a negative impact than any playcalling from Bobo (who gave Gurley the ball twice for a total of 3 yards after the playaction fake).

Very pleased with this hire, fwiw. He was very well thought of at UGA by the time he left to take the head job at CSU.

Glad he's back. Soon we'll have an all-UGA HC, OC and DC.

This board thought Monken was a terrible OC as recently as August 2022.

Hell, averaging 42 PPG with Hutson Mason as QB is incredible

Hutson Mason was a pinpoint passer who almost never turned the ball over. We never lost a game due to Hutson mistakes. Hutson's ball security was much better than Aaron Murray's.

You’d be wrong. He knows how to score, the difference now is he will have a defensive and the burden to win the games will be lessened.
