Leaving after the title game win or lose. How often have these guys been wrong about Saban? Golic called him a disaster in the pros because he never had a stud QB. But the NYG could be a leading candidate. IOW Bama fans, take this time to formulate your thoughts and farewells because..... He gone!

If anyone could name anything Mike and Mike have ever gotten correct then this could be an interesting thread.

They are the ones that provide analysis and discussion of topics, not necessarily breaking news or insider news.

It wouldn't surprise me if he left.

he has one more year to be fully vested in the state retirement system. I am not sure any sane person would leave that after year 9

Would be a dream come true for me, my Giants get arguably the greatest coach in my lifetime, and my Vols don't have to face him every year.

But, I'm not that lucky, he ain't going anywhere.

Dude doesn't need the State retirement Sustem... It's not like he's been driving the city bus or working for the highway department for 30 years. He makes more than 70% of Alabamians or more...

The annual "Wish away Saban" period has begun. Professionals and fans alike join this ritual of hopelessness and pain. Stay tuned for more prayers and rumors.

True dat. Plus I think your figure of Saban making more than 70% of Alabamans is a tad off course. He probably makes more than 95% of Alabamans. I know Alabama has some shitty parts, like any other state, but it's not Russia, where you are worth a billion dollars or you are worth a half drank bottle of vodka.

His retirement pay is based on his salary from the school, which is small compared to what he gets from the REC. His real pay was when they allowed him to "purchase" a Mercedes dealership, and then financed it 100% for him (in effect Paul Jr handed him the keys). Those things are gold mines.

Given that $500K puts you in the 1% of the US, Saban makes more than 99.99999% of Alabamans. That said why would he leave to go to a job where the press will ask him some tough questions, and he has less control of the players?

Golic still salty about that 42-14 ND beatdown in the BCS NC. Get over it, Mike.
