How often have these guys been wrong about Saban?

I can't think of many times they've been right about him...

According to them we were going to lose to Texas, LSU, and ND in the title games.
Saban was going back to the pros.
Saban was going to Texas.

Which ever way the wind is blowing with Saban the run that way with a story.

Golic still salty about that 42-14 ND beatdown in the BCS NC. Get over it, Mike.

I'll never forget the look on his face the day after that game. Priceless.

If anyone could name anything Mike and Mike have ever gotten correct then this could be an interesting thread.

Actually, it's selective quoting or selective memory by the OP. Mike Golic stated that he doesn't believe Saban leaves Alabama to which Mike Greenberg agreed. The only NFL opening mentioned (due to the Colts job no longer being available) was the NY Giants. Golic stated that it wouldn't be a good fit because Saban would want full control and they are an "old fashion" organization that, with Coughlin winning 2 Super Bowls, likes the "GM"/"HC" arrangement.

Saban's not going anywhere.

He's fully entrenched into the community and accepts his role as being the best CFB coach of all time.

Dude doesn't need the State retirement Sustem... It's not like he's been driving the city bus or working for the highway department for 30 years. He makes more than 70% of Alabamians or more...

You know why rich people have money? Because they don't spend it on stupid shite and throw it away. Leaving would be throwing away 10K/month for life which is some nice discretionary cash in retirement.

He's not leaving but to imply he'd stay for the state retirement that's funny

Actually, it was Paul Finebaum who was a guest on the show that said that it would be a good possibility that he would leave Alabama but only if they won the game. They were speculating that it would most likely be to NYG. Mike and Mike didn't state their thoughts whether they thought Saban would stay or leave. I think it was just Finebaum bloviating to stir a controversial topic for his show this afternoon. Could it happen if Saban was to win another National Championship? , sure it could but it would probably be more likely he stay put and try to win another one.

Even if he lived 30 more years, he would make more than this with just one year in the NFL.

he has one more year to be fully vested in the state retirement system. I am not sure any sane person would leave that after year 9

That retirement pittance is a piss in the ocean compared to his overall wealth and likely won't be a factor in his decision process.

Zero fricks given. He's worth whatever amount is the ceiling for the industry and if the demand for his services keep pushing that up and up so be it.

True dat. Plus I think your figure of Saban making more than 70% of Alabamans is a tad off course. He probably makes more than 95% of Alabamans. I know Alabama has some shitty parts, like any other state, but it's not Russia, where you are worth a billion dollars or you are worth a half drank bottle of vodka.

That one sentence shows just how really stupid you are. ..you're either a fricking kid or a major dumbass..or both.

You're criticizing that guy? I'm sure he's a lot closer than the one he's replying to who said 70%.

So he doesn't make more than 95% of Alabamans? Wow then he is poor compared to all the Hollywood types living down there on the Gulf Coast huh? Enlighten us with your infinite wisdom Corch Crisp. Another poster claimed he made more than 99.99% of Alabamans. Who is closer to the truth?

If Bama made $150,000,000 and they gave the CEO (Saban) 10%=$15,000,000. So he is underpaid at Bama.
He needs a raise.
