It was incredibly stupid by Miami not to simply run it to try and gain at least a few more yards before that kick. Every yard matters on a kick with a cross wind like that

They’ve used Toney as a decoy too much. Hell on one first down they motioned him across and wanted him to help block inside the tackles.
Stop being fancy, run it and let Carson work the RPO game. Deep shots are going to be hard to do with this wind.
On the flip, A&M has to get KC involved more or more designed runs by Reed. They can’t tackle him.

100% on the first one for sure. I told my son if they take a sack, the wind will make them miss.
2nd one I think he should have made it regardless of not running the ball on the last play. I didn’t hate the throw it up in 1:1 coverage call with 11 seconds left, though.

Head winds are less tricky. Mostly compensated power. Crosswinds bring all kinds of frickery when trying to aim

Me either, they had enough time left to take that shot in the end zone and still have run another play to gain a few more yards. Instead they attempted a low percentage back shoulder pass to 10 yard line. Didn’t make any sense. At least take another shot in the end zone if you don’t care about gaining a few more yards for the kick

Depends on the speed of the wind. There’s a speed where kicking becomes literally impossible into a head wind, but that would have to be 30+ MPH
